36F and cloudy. Last's night's rain has pushed off to the East. Out in the work barn already this morning, had to feed the neighbor's animals and let them out. Pick them up after their cruise tomorrow. Starting out with C&D Epiphany in an RDPipes Canadian made by own Ron, drinking strong hot black coffee, handicapping the closing weekend cards of the respective Belmont and Keeneland fall meets and listening to early Breeders' Cup reports on Horse Racing Radio Network.

And the weekend officially begins while a wet and windy front looms to the south southwest, as I reach for yet another bowl of MacBaren Vintage Syrian, in the Comoy's Tradition 296 canadian.

Seldom listed but my morning excursion here in bed with Five Brothers (+2) in a Rusticated Whitehall Meer Lined Bent Egg, one that will never be fried for Senor Jim Inks. Coffee sweet and muddy in my Santa Cup is my drink.
This tobacco is great in its genius for lacking every flavor but tobacco.

I just filled a Big Ben Vintage bent Dublin with a mix of C&D Dark Fired Kentucky and C&D unflavored black cavendish, about a 50/50 mix. The DFK was too strong and the unflavored black cavendish had no flavor. Both together make a milder version of the DFK. Totally smokable and enjoyable if you want a just tobacco flavored smoke.
I have more COFFEE too! That's one of my issues with the unflavored black cavs. OK smoke, but trying to find a C&D, McC, or Sutliff blend that matches some of the slightly flavored black cavs I used to smoke is difficult. BTW, if I ever get another bent dub (found my old one recently), I like the shape of yours better than mine. Starting to like more of the straight pipes and bents with higher bowls over the classic bent

Enjoying my last full bowl of PH Golden Sliced in the HIS estate Billiard. The small amount that's left will go into the flake scraps can. I think I prefer PH Golden Sliced slightly more than than OGS. It seems to be a little more citrus and a slightly brighter flavor, for lack of a better description.
