Many of you may not be aware that Sparks (Justin Bain) is also a very talented pipe maker. When I first met Justin he showed me this hawk bill and I immediately cajoled him into selling it to me. Smokes like a champ. I hope he eventually gets back to his craft. If you have one of his pipes I'd like to see it here. Happy smoke rings.

I love the hawkbill shape, and that is a great looking example of one. A true beauty, and I hope to have one someday.

Great pipe. We'll certainly have to talk Sparks into carving up a gross of them for the next forum pipe of the year. Haha. No pressure.

I notice Justin didn't respond to this thread, especially about the 2019 POY. He needs to get started right away, lol!

I was conveniently avoiding any comment.
Unfortunately, I don't have the setup anymore to make pipes. While it's something I would like to do, commandeering the space in the basement will be an effort in diplomacy. Maybe someday.

This is the canted acorn I got from Sparks about 8 or 10 years ago. It's a really good smoker. Back when I dedicated pipes it was burley only, but now it happily handles anything I throw at it.

I suggest dictatorship over democracy in this instance. Nice work!
