Jarring your tobacco

I too use mason jars. Lb of tobac goes into 2 1qt jars. Tight as I can get the lid. For smaller amounts and regular smokers I find that a jar of twice the liquid measure as the weight measure of the tobac fits when fairly tightly packed (eg: 2 oz of tobac in a 4 liquid ounce jar. I make labels by taking a screen shot of a tobac label from SP.com, and print it out in a size appropriate for the jar onto plain paper and scotch tape it on.
