Game 5 was the best ever. Both teams were superb, I would like to see the Astros get the pennant, and will be glad to see whoever gets it for their hard work. Stayed up too late last night for an Old Man, almost 1 o'clock.

That game was just plain crazy. Neither team bared it's throat.

I thoroughly enjoyed that game. Altuve is a real treat to watch. What a great player. Lots of great players in that game though.

Twenty-two homeruns so far this Series (a record) and 101 in post season play. How does Altuve do it? Different baseballs or whatever, it's been a heckuva series!

It was a barn burner! Reminded me of two evenly matched boxers in a championship bout, trading blow for blow, with the outcome uncertain until the last man standing.

We got through the National Anthem without a knee in the stadium. Kinda excited here.

Dodgers should have known better than to start Davish. I predicted he'd be lousy. McCullers isn't sharp either. He's not long for this game.

I'm a National league fan but can't root for the Dodger's so I'm liking what I'm seeing.

I'm watching now. I hope Astros take it- It's nice for the fans when a team that's never won finally does.

Springer got MVP! The team motto was "Earn It" AND THEN THEY EARNED IT! Somebody turn out the lights.

Correa just proposed to his lady on national TV. She said, "Yes". A very touching, happy moment.

I thought it was a good WS, and was pulling for the Astos because: A. I’m an American League guy (Tigers fan) B. For Verlander, a class act and Detroit’s workhorse for 11 years and deserved a ring to add to an already impressive resume.

Great series. I expected the Dodgers to win before the first pitch was thrown. Hats off to the champion Astros, great job. I've been listening to ESPN radio this morning and just wanted to toss a couple things out there. The Dodgers got everything out of Kershaw any team could expect from their ace; however, the primary question centers around Darvish's two respective meltdowns. He's the only pitcher to start two World Series games and be pulled before the second inning in both starts. His numbers indicate he's clearly an elite regular season starting pitcher. The Monday morning quarterbacking thinking is he was inadvertently tipping his pitches. He pitches out of the stretch all the time which perhaps makes him easier for some hitters to read at times but the big one was his throwing hand in his mitt was motionless every time he was coming with a fastball and moving around when he gripped an off speed or breaking ball pitch.
I admittedly didn't see this one watching the games live; nevertheless, having played catcher in high school, it's definitely a plausible theory. It would explain why the Astros were able to tee off on Darvish if Houston's staff watched the tapes and picked this up. Perhaps just fodder as Houston was a great hitting team all year and won 100+ games during the regular season against some pretty serious pitchers.
I'm glad for Verlander too. I thought he took a lot of crap in the press he didn't deserve in Detroit over the years, was always a pretty classy guy about it and this has to be pretty sweet for him.
Just in case you wanted to know, odds makers are already listing the Dodgers as favorites to win in 2018 followed by Cleveland and Houston.
That's a wrap.

To add insult to injury, Puig's residence was burgaled while he was on the field.

I don't think that Verlander is bothered by the crap he took previously. He is absolutely on top of the world right now with a World Series ring, a city that worships him and his impending marriage to the most desirable woman in the world.
