I noticed this dent in one of my tins the other day and was wondering if I should go ahead and open it and jar the contents. I don't know how it could still be sealed with a dent like this on the lid.

Uusually you can tell if the seal is intact...If you have an open tin of the same type, compare it with the same type of tin that you know has a good seal....you should see that the lid is concave if it is sealed.
Of course if you cannot determine that way, I would open it and jar it.

Did it dent while you were trying to consummate with this blend? If you want to be 100% sure, I'd just jar it up.
