Jim's acquisition of of the (now two!) William Conrad pipes had me thinking. I'm sure the topic has been touched a time or two, and will be touched again. Who's pipe would you like to own? I recall a bunch of folks saying their dads/grandpas/uncles old pipe. And I know some folks were lucky enough to get them! There's something special about that special pipe and fond memories linked to a small chunk of wood or meerschaum. Something so small and so common as a pipe, but not just any old pipe. That special pipe. Some of us don't have those fond memories of that personal link to the past. And that's fine too! But it seems for all of us pipe smokers, there is a pipe that we all would like to own. No, it's not whatever hack-job abomination ol' Klubb is scratching away at (and not finishing). There may be no sentimental attachment.. There's probably no other reason than, "It'd be flerpin' cool!" Mine is Sailor Jerry's pipe. I have no real reason other than, "It'd be flerpin' cool."  Who else has a "It'd be cool" pipe? |

This one. I WILL have a similar one some day.  Edited to add... It is a WDC Wellington I think. Just bid on one on ebay. You guys are getting me in trouble AGAIN! |

I'd like to have a pipe from the following people: Edward G. Robinson (bet you knew that name would pop up first), Einstein, Bogart, Groucho, Basil Rathbone, Cary Grant, and Bing Crosby.
