Try Russ's Fusilier's Ration. Easier to get and was his take on it a few years back.

And, Russ was instrumental in the rebirth of Bengal Slices. I can't figure out why P&C doesn't have it in stock. Odd...
Fusilier's Ration is good stuff. Now I will have to do my own comparison.

Thank you for the timely heads up. It went fast!
I read good things about this blend, so I thought I would order a tin to try. However, after reading the description on SP.com, I opted agains it. It just does not sound like something I would like. Latakia listed first, black cavendish, a mysterious "subtle top note." These are all things I tend to avoid.

It's a very enjoyable blend. Russ did a great job of resurrecting the flavors of the old blend. Be patient. More will be coming along.

On 29 September I noticed P&C had it in stock so I bought 5 tins. My account said my order was "Confirmed" and it was "Processing". I then noticed it was out of stock. After waiting almost 6 weeks I called them this past Thursday telling them that my order status has been "Processing" and it's been like that for 6 weeks. The lady apologized and said that as soon as they got it in stock they would ship it to me. Well, a few hours later I get a "shipped" noticed. Not sure what's going on with P&C. |
