Great effort. I think the stem works well with it. You can always change it out for ebonite later. FWIW, I prefer ebonite as well.

Very nice!  What's your preferred blends in these tall boys? I like most any Balkan Blend, but my favorites are Engine 99, Byzantium, and the HH Latakia flake, and a home brew balkan mix work well in these guys. Ten Russians when I treat myself. Thanks for the comments, gents, appreciated. Now trying to decide on what to make next. Maybe a shameless copy of an old Pipe Dan.
