I've smoked this pipe a lot over the 10 years or so that I've had it.It was a gift from Frenchy. It was made by a fella named Lannes Johnson. His pipes were sold on Frenchy's site back in days of old.A few months ago it developed a vertical crack in the bowl.I kept smoking it though because it smoked so well..Today I was cleaning cake out of it and a big chunk of wood broke out of the bowl.It can't be smoked any more so in the trash it went..It's sad when you lose one of your favorite pipes that you feel like is an old friend.

Most of us have been there, . There's only one antidote for the grieving period; PAD.

Wait! Don't throw it away, it's probably fixable with a little pipe mud and a hose clamp...

Props for mention and memories of Frenchy. Did you save the stem?

OMG. Somebody please save a broken bowl like that, for me. I want to try a repair, using pins. I think I can make it work. I did buy the stainless steel wire and I have the proper (I think it is proper) glue. Now I need a good test piece.
Larry, PM incoming.

I have several pipes bought back in the day from Frenchy, Savinellis, a Big Ben, etc. Then he retired suddenly. I wonder what happened to him. I hope he's well.
