Starting this first of family get together days with raccoons friend in a new pipe. My first commissioned pipe and the first pipe my sweetheart picked and purchased for me. The mean arse got me a bing from the one and only Basil Meadows, I don't know what to do with it so I guess I'll just smoke the living hell out of it because its AMAZING. If you follow any of his social feeds its the one with the swirly cumberland stem and is drop dead gorgeous. Congrats! Is it the one that Basil posted on FB on the 16th? Hard to tell in the pics, but it looks like it has the same brown and black SEM stem material that my Basil blasted Apple has. I think it's the brand of the material as I’m not really sure why it’s called SEM and not cumberland.

Got a theme going. Watching White Christmas while smoking Wilke Vermont Maple Cavendish in a Basil Meadows Merchant Marine Bing. Iced tea on the side. You need to watch Holiday Inn if you have it. Really, any time between now and after the first. There is a colorized version that is nice. I used to hate colorized, but they do a better job and it's almost like a new movie to me For some reason I always thought that Holiday Inn and White Christmas were filmed in back to back years. I just realized that they were 12 years apart.

My most-beautiful-of-all-Basil-Merchant-Marine-Bings has a beautiful Cumberland stem that he had a small supply of. SEM is an expensive brand of German ebonite. I've had mine for about a year now.

Dinner, then walk the pup. Now, sitting on the patio, enjoying a cup of lemon zinger tea, and some G & H Kentucky Nougat in 1980's Bari Special Freehand. Have a good evening folks, and enjoy your pipes.

Enjoying some MacB Scottish in the Nob Hill on the front porch while waiting for the car to warm up. We decided on Subway for supper since there will be no shortage of dishes the next few days.

The way it smokes, feels in the hand and looks, it has to be one of the best value deals of which I know. Anyhoo, right now I've phased over to more of that H&H Chestnut, this time in the Hardcastle Royal Bruyere smooth apple.

His daughter June was in there, btw. Reg Owen turned good a little too quickly for me. Shame Lionel Barrymore was not available. He did do a trailer for it

Ive got patriot flake packed in the basil meadows blasted billiard with a polished aluminum band and a split pea soup stem. Drinking mountain dew after surviving the onslaught from mr 3 all afternoon.

Now smoking Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite stem. I got The Complete Perry Mason DVD set from my mother-in-law for Christmas, and we're about to watch the first episode. Sure will be nice to watch them uncut from now on.
