I went with the Arcadia. Burning very nicely in my Savinelli Dolomiti billiard. I tend to get really excited over new blends when I like them on the first smoke- add to that McClelland's wonderful presentation and the huge geek factor of being an attempt at recreating Dr Watson's storied favourite smoke and what you get is one happy Sherlock Holmes fanboy. I love it. I can't wait for some of the vinegar to mellow as it dries and really open up the palate to the orientals and other flavours hiding in there.

Fine, white, pillow of ash as boasted with that Acadia. I was paying attention too because they mentioned it. Seems like a strange aspect to work into a blend. Going to kick it up a notch. Packing the searock with some Gaslight. Love this gnarly old pipe. .

Peterson Holiday Season 2013 in the Barling Garnet Grain 4759. Do you polish this pipe with something or is the finish naturally that clear? My 2016 Pete already looks kind of dull and I usually smoke rusticated pipes, so I don't know if that is the norm? I took that photo recently, upon receiving the pipe from estate pipe seller. It won't look like that much longer, I'm afraid.

I am customer in some turkish meerschaum pipe stores, one of them send me an email telling that i will have 20% discount in my next order due to Christmas holidays so i ordered a meerschaum pipe. The initial price was 110 euros so he told me that the offer was on 85 euro, i agreed and send to him 91 euros which means 6 euro more as a gift and today the turk said to me that in his account arrived only 71 euro and now needs another 15 to complete the order! Did truly the turkish bank took 20 euros as purveyance? did that turk playing tricks with me? I don't know, all i know is that the finally price for that damned pipe will be 116 euros so where is the f***en discount huh? Learn a lesson from that and don't step in the same trap as i did, next time you order from a turkish store be suspicious and take precautions!
I am smoking Poul Stanwell Black Diamond [while revile constantly].

First smoke of the day is PH Dark Strong in the Baraccini blasted bent Pot. Took the family out last night for my wife's birthday. -12F yesterday morning, I think it's -9F right now. Listening to 1960's reggae to get my musical fill since it's inventory at work and no music.

For my post-breakfast smoke I popped a jar of PS LBF that I sealed back in 2009. The taste metamorphosis after eight plus years is stunning. These roundelets are smoldering in the Parker's of London Jockey Club billiard. Caribou coffee in attendance.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, we had a house full of kids and grandkids (turns out it doesn't take long to fill 1100 sq. ft.).
Things are settling down, getting back to normal, and I'm helping the transition along with some McClelland 5125 in a Peterson Kinsale XL 12. Coffee is the chaser.
