I was a fan of his all my life. Mom used to buy his albums, which played a major part in my love for standards now. He was a good guy, too. Godspeed

What a talent. I loved watching bother of his shows. And when I could find some music i would listen to it.

Private Pyle is one of the first TV personalities I can remember from early childhood. Come to think of it I also loved Zorro, Lone Ranger, and the old black and white Super Man. There must have been a TV Land equivalent in the early-mid 80s that three year old me liked.

I remember him on Carol Burnett where he was the main in a parody of Kung Fu called Young Fool. I split a gut on that one. Now I have two tummies. Oh well
