...started reading "The Revenant" by Michael Punke...quite a good read so far, and an excellent book to savor a bowl over. My tobacco this evening is Lane's Ready Rubbed which is similar to the old Edgeworth RR...

Ive started "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu again. I dont know how many times I've been through it, but it helps me keep a realistic perspective on how to win some of lifes battles in business, work etc.

I watched the first episode of 'Lovecraft Country' last week. That was a wild enough ride I needed to get the book. About halfway through now.

Reading a few books from Pail Bart, Yellowstone has been my favorite TV show, now Bart books are about Cowboy country, slowing down what I generally read. Cajun Country has its roundups, raising cattle, baleing hay, wanted a respite from the world gone crazy.

There are 12 so far and the 13th is going to be the last. Bernard Cornwell is actually of the line of the actual Uhtred of Bebbenburg, (now Bamberg), that the story is loosely based on.

I hadn't heard that he was in the actual lineage … super cool! Back when I was reading these, my hair was really long and my buddy Tony, who was also reading them, called me Uhtred for a while. LOL Guess I had that Viking thing going on which I've always related to anyway.

Once harvest is over, I need to see if our tiny, local library can start getting in the series of books by Stephen Hunter on Bob Lee Swagger. I read them years ago, and really enjoyed 'em

It's called The Patch. It's about a bunch of wise and knowledgeable people sharing life experiences and stuff. With the occasional tall tales. All while smoking pipes and cigars of course. 😀

So before Normandy they came from Scandinavia according to 23&me. They were lords in Scotland from 1149 to about 1606, then to Northern Ireland, then to America in 1695. It's wonderful when history becomes personal.

Right now I am reading The Talisman by Scott.

Today I was cleaning out my desk. I came across my dad's comic books. Superman, the green lantern, spider man, the fantastic fou8... short list goes on. I had a coke classic while I read them. Took me right back. I swear I could almost feel him in the room.

I case anyone isn't aware of the website - check out "Fantastic Fiction". www.fantasticfiction.com/You can look up about any author and see all their books (fiction only) - and the order to read them in. Great site.

I am now reading the book Salvo! by Bernard Edwards.
The history of laundry detergent in the USA. A White Power classic!!
No, actually, it is series of accounts of historic Naval gun actions in the 20th century. Largely focusing on WWI, the Royal Navy versus the German High Seas Fleet.
