I still can't access St Elsewhere site (IP or MAC Blocked), yet I would prefer answers over here. I have a few pipes I would like to bring a shine back to the briar. I do not have any buffing machine, so I am hoping for a one item solution to be able to rub on the bowl and bring it back. Tung Oil? Neats Foot Oil?

Castrol Syntech. That or Heinz Ketchup is best.
What browser are you using, Charlie? I have found a few sites that will not load, so I simply have to use Internet Explorer for them. Not sure why. I have updated adobe and all that, but FireFox just occasionally wont load certain sites.

I dunno My IP is def blocked. I can access it through Tor Browser, showing my IP is Timbuktu. Really, the only reason I check it is for a goof. I am happy here

I use a little oil from the sides of my nose while the pipe is warm and buff it with my shirt.

Numi's or rounds? I collect old silver dollars but also buy 1 oz .999 rounds when the price is right.
I can tell by the sound when someone hands me change if there's junk silver in it.

Clear spray varnish. Recoat weekly. I have some spray lacquer. I may practice on some lesser pipes. Good thought. But then you actually have talent. I have none

Halcyon and Paragon waxes. They're updated versions of Renaissance wax. I use both when I want to get a highly polished surface, and the wax is also good for coating the stem to protect against oxidation. I don't use the polish as directed because it doesn't deliver a high gloss when done by the book. But there is an easy way to get a gloss that compares favorably to a buffed carnuba wax gloss. And, your pipes are saved from becoming wooden lumps from being over buffed.

But there are 5 freeways that move pretty good. Nice place to visit.

The Paragon wax produces a better shine than the Renaissance. The Renaissance is better for metal, but the Paragon is better for wood. Neither of these is very durable.

Woke up with a massive hangover, opened the door and there was a damned cow staring at me. When Xuan and I got back on the road we passed a field of... camels. Whodathunk. They know how to party in OK.

I was teasing... I use oil, having decided I am not fond of shiny pipes. Carnauba can be applied by hand with some effort too.
