In case there are no Grabow experts here (just smokers, that is) you could go to the Dr. Grabow forum. They'll know there for sure.

Thanks - forgot about that site. I just want to make sure the pipe fits the era of the box I suppose. People have been known to stick a new pipe in an old box, or so I hear.

Got a hit over there. Pre-1966 so from the pencil marks a good guess would be 1960 is written on the box. Looks like these start in 1956 so it is narrowed down to a 4 year period. Couldn't be happier.

I am little more a Grabow Fanboy that has had the honor of being invited to participate in the factory tour this past June. Although I have several Dr. Grabow's, I am a neophyte at dating them or determining their pedigree. I would strongly encourage going over to the Dr. Grabow Collectors Forum, now hosted by taptalk, and asking Joe Man or one of the other experts. Fantastic group of guys there. Very generous with their time and knowledge. I just can't say enough good things about them. Dino

could also be a '68' on the box. Anyway, I have never seen a Grabow like that. A really cool pipe.
