Some smokers buy cigars from all different countries, but some stick to certain regions. I'm curious to see how cigar smokers here view this.

Well, my daily cigars are Camacho which are from Honduras. I also like them from Nicaragua, particularly Padron and Ecuador. Of course, the occasional treat from the Forbidden Island is always welcome.

I'm just glad Cubans are now legal so my walking stereotype of a friend can no longer brag that his cigars are Cuban. haha

My favorites are nicaraguan and honduran. Purely based on flavor not because of any loyalty to a certain region.

I seem to favor Honduran cigars, but I like those from other countries too.

Mexican cigars are really underrated, a good place to start would be with the 'Te Amo' or 'San Andres' houses which export to the US.

DR, Honduras and Nicaragua. I enjoy many different cigars. I will stay away from Cubans as they are pricey, quality control is awful and the three aforementioned countries all put out great cigars!

DR and Honduras used to be where all my cigars had to come from but I find some Nicaraguan cigars very very tasty. As far as Mexican cigars go some are rather good. When Fighting rooster cigars were made in the Philippines I smoked them as well. There was another brand from there that I used to smoke often but the name eludes me right now.

Especially the paper-wrapped Park Lanes (which I smoked backwards for years till someone who knew better disabused me). In fact, it was the drying up of the RY line that drove me to the forums to nab the last of the world supply. Whereupon I stumbled into pipe forums, and now the only time I puff a cigar is at weddings. hp les

Nicaraguan cigars tend to be my favorites. I love Ecuadorian tobacco as well and Dominican tobacco comes in third. Cuban cigars are a treat for me but quality control in the factories is lacking compared to other countries leading to inconsistency, but when they are on, they will change your life. For the most part I don't personally care for Honduran tobacco with the exception of corojo.

...never took to the cigar like I did the pipe, but I've sampled Cubans and I've sampled others and would have to report that the Cubans were quite good...

If I had to choose it would be Dominican Republic. Don't smoke cigars often any more but when I do it is usually a La Gloria Cubana Series R, just because I know I like them.
But honestly, I am not sure I would know the difference.

Though I don't smoke many cigars anymore, Royal Jamaicans were my favorite, followed by Macanudos from the DR. Partagas also deserve honorable mention as well.

Back when I used to smoke cigars, my favorites were the Hoyo De Monterrey double coronas, the Partigas #4 and Lusitania, Romeo Y Julietta Chruchills, and the Flor de Cano Rothschild, all made in Cuba. I never found a Cohiba that was worth smoking. No flavor in them and strictly for starf-ckers. I also like Toraño, though I can't remember the specifics after so many years.
