I've seen Sutliff and McClelland amaretto on TR, but neither have very good reviews. Any other suggestions?

Peterson Sunset Breeze I believe is an ameretto blend. I didn't think it was all that great but that was like 5 years ago.

Mick McQuaid has an almond topping that is applied very lightly; good stuff. The plug is gone but I think the ready rubbed may still be available.

Dan Spaniola of Paul's Pipe Shop, Flint MI, likes to include amaretto in many of his blends. I believe that he has a few in which amaretto is most prominent. You could give him a call and ask him.

I mix Amaretto with scotch. Sort of a variation of a Rusty Nail. Can't go wrong there

Thanks for the recs. Sunset Breeze was one of the first blends I tried, and it fried my tongue. Maybe I'd have better luck with it now. I've been meaning to try some of Paul's Pipe Shop blends (I've heard Arrowhead is great) - so maybe this will motivate me. In the meantime, yeah I should probably just pick up some amaretto! I could even douse some boring blend with it. Never heard of mixing it with whisky, but I'll try anything once. Ronv69, do you use bourbon, Scotch, or Irish?

I use Dewars to mix with the amaretto. Wife really likes these and I fix one for myself because they aren't bad at all.
