I met Rick on the day he married my wife's best friend...even in all what goes on during a wedding, he acted like we were old friends...over the years, the friendship grew. Rick served as a Marine, and later working for the gas utility of northern California named PG &E. Right as he was getting ready to retire from his job, he received his inheritance from his mom and dad's estate...they were set financially. Then an aggressive cancer spread throughout his body, and in less than a year he was gone. His wife posted this on Facebook today.

It hit me too, Charlie. Sometimes at night I remember an argument Xuan and I had that day and I realize how pointless that was to how much I love her. Thank you for posting

Thanks guys.....Rick was definitely one of the good guys. This is Rick leaning over his son who is also a Marine, and at the time was recovering at Bethesda Naval Hospital I believe...
