Who else is working today? No such thing as holidays in healthcare! Hope it's a good one and the boss ponies up for lunch.

Not working today, just bored at the house, but used to work in my old IT job. The other guys would have stuff to do, so I was always the volunteer to do holidays. Wasn't that bad; I just got a different day off. Grew up on a farm, so no days off ever in that job Take care of your patients, have a good tonight, and hopefully free lunch.

Yeah, cows don't care if it's Christmas. Well, unless you only have a few. Then they do, because they get treats.
I wrote the training for John Deere for their software that ran grain elevators. We would have preferred instructor-led, classroom based training, but realized farmers wouldn't want to be away from the farm for a week to attend training, nor send every new employee to Wichita for a week. We switched to online instructor-led training, then found out that not all farmers even had access to the internet, and of those that did, it might be a 56K modem with download limits. We had to go with a CD, and make the online part optional.

Just hanging out with the ol’ lady here, going to have prime rib sandwiches au jus, with fries. Smoking the lap pipes and breaking in the new Pete... might have to rummage in the cellar and dig out some old stuff!

I didn't. That was where the software division of John Deere, Agris, was based. We bounced back and forth between there and home in Dallas to meet with our grain elevator contacts. You don't see much of a town like that; never even went to Cessna's headquarters. Plus, the hotel we stayed in had a free alcohol happy hour from 5pm to 7pm, so I was always drunk.
