Wish I could get out of the house. Bob Metzler, though we've lost contact, was a lifelong friend. His dad was my scout leader. Wonderful person if anyone gets to meet him. I think he's been smoking a pipe since sixteen.

Hopefully this will be my 22nd straight Gateway Pipe Show and I plan on being there from Thursday to Sunday. There is no smoking in STL county hotels so we stay across the river so we can hold our nightly smoke filled room with the guys. This show always gets great local support.  |

Webster is a pretty neat area to have the convention. Lots of different restos and diners around.
