got this pipe yesterday from Bethlehem, Pa maker Juan Urquiza. Juan is a very talented maker and a member of our local pipe club. The unfinished morta works beautifully with the Cumberland stem.

John it's a great color combo, will you have further work done to it or that's how it will stay?

Nice handy on the go size...
Local pipe maker Ernie Markle lives nearby, he promised to visit our pipe club, hope he can be a regular.

Congrats and Enjoy and as you can only go darker on Morta, I like that natural finish just fine.

Brad, the pipe will remain in its current state. I like the way it looks and I would not try to "improve" an artist's work.
Scrooge, Juan Urquiza learned pipe making from his father and has studied with Dan Chlebove of Gabrieli Pipes. Juan lives in Bethlehem, Pa. and has been selling pipes on Esty. Etsy.com/shop/jpurquizapipes. Juan's email is jpurquizapipes@gmail.com.
I'll also add that his prices are very reasonable and the workmanship is first class. This morta passes a pipe cleaner with ease.

Stellar addition to the herd. I think that you should send it to me for safe keeping.

Stellar addition to the herd. I think that you should send it to me for safe keeping. I am the Dale Earnhardt of bowl carbonizing.... John should send it to me. Hey John, I heard that Erie Pa. got the better part of 60 inches of snow Christmas Day... hope you fared better.

Charlie, lucky for me that I'm at the opposite end of the state from Erie.
