Just finished a bowl of orlik dark strong kentucky in the mm diplomat bpf poty. Gulping coffee and thinking another pipe is warranted after this morning's reminder. Here in sw michigan we are in the midst of a heatwave its 33f already this morning anf last night we got a few inches of new snow with this latest front. Its the kind if snow that pulls and pushes any vehicle around, and I got a good reminder of why one pays attention to the road at all times. A semi coming at me about a 1/4 mile away started into a slide across the center line, mind you I was doing near 60 so a quarter mile isn't far. Needless to say I applied the brakes and started heading for the nearest ditch, fortunately he was able to recover and continue before coming within 100 ft of me. I'm pretty sure the driver will have to change his drawers at his next stop he was well on his way to a jack knife.

Took a break from the WWW this weekend as Miss Daisy and I celebrated our anniversary.
Commute this morning with CH in a cob and Community coffee, neat. Just came back from the DSA where I enjoyed a few puffs of Amphora Original (Brown) in a Westie.
Visited the local B&M this weekend for some flint and pipe cleaners and talked the owner into ordering some Amphora Brown. I like to do a little business with him when I can. I think pouch tobacco prices are about the same as on-line ordering since I will not pay shipping.

About to have some more Red Cake. Trying to decide on a pipe. Smoked it in a bent Brakner tomato. Made me sneeze a few times at first. Seemed a little spicy on the tongue, but I liked it. Definitely something about it that stimulated my tongue and sinuses in a not unpleasant way.

PS English Oriental Supreme in my #1 stack. Since the sun is over the Yardarm, I'm washing it down with an Earl Grey fortified with a splash of Bushmills 12 year old. (The 16 year old is reserved for neat drinking).
