10th consecutive day of temperatures below freezing in Derby City. Expected high of 29F, then colder until the weekend. Sunday could be our breakout day. Breakfast was eggs topped with cheddar and salsa. Now smoking McClelland #2015 in a pre-1964 Peterson 312 System Standard, drinking hot black coffee and listening to ESPN radio. I have to allow the wood burning stove go out today for another cleaning in the morning.

The morning commute was a challenge; ice storm turning into snow. Quite unusual weather for the Florida Big Bend! Everyone at work kept going outside to watch the snow fall and melt as soon as it hit the ground. There are still some ice pellets on the ground in certain areas. Anyhoo, my commute smoke was delayed, but I am just back from the icy cold DSA where I smoked a quarter of a bowl of OJK in a cob and guzzled hot Community coffee, neat. The sun will be out this afternoon and it will warm to the mid 40s.

I smoked two aromatic bowls in the straight Falcon with Algiers Dublin bowl back to back before bed. It was Paul’s Pipe Club Arrowhead mixture and then a bowl of 2004 Hine’s Mixture T426.
This morning I’m firing up some D&R Rimboche AP in a Sketcher Doodler pot.

I just finished a bowl of Peter Stokkebye Cube Cut in a rusticated Peterson, bent bulldog with a diagonal band and vulcanite p-lip stem. I think I finally caught the Burley bug.

Stuck with my Dunhill pipe all day. Started with Match Holiday Mixture whilst inspecting earthquake repair contracts with a couple of engineers that looked like they really didn't want to be at the meeting and now typing reports with Skiff Mixture.

Not far from finishing this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. Been very sick with a nasty stomach virus, but I needed a smoke.

Sutliff: Holiday in my bargain bin Cassillero.
Nothing puts me in a better mood than a 28 minute call to my internet service provider. Haha 'I can ping the router and you cannot' is all I should have had to have said to that guy to get a tech sent out.
But yeah. This blend is superb. Anyone else familiar with Holiday Match? Does it always ship this dry? If it was a little more moist, I'd buy it by the pound- as it stands, I'll be hard pressed to smoke this 4 ounces before it turns to dust. I intend to try though. Haha

I just finished watching episodes 2 and 3 of Then Came Bronson while smoking a bowl of McClelland's Holiday Spirit in a very old Caminetto 109 Business rusticated square stack. Earl Grey by appointment to the Prince of Wales on the side.

Jim's Va/Bur in a 2003 smooth medium bend Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Baskerville with a sterling silver band and black vulcanite p-lip stem. This is a mild smoke I created, and maybe I can handle it.
