More Wilke #191, in the Castello KKKK Trademark billiard. Amazing grain on that pipe sir. Tiger stripes!! Yes, on both sides of the shank too, in perfect symmetrical effect. I really lucked out on that Trademark. When I hold it in my hand and smoke it, it gives off that weird light that warms the soul. One of my best smokers, but none of the other best smokers has that sedative and pleasurable effect, not that much at least. It's talismanic. Anyhoo, now for a corrective in the name of humdrum reality and humility: smoking EGR in a Missouri Meerschaum Diplomat 5th Avenue corn cob. Watching Bubba-Ho-Tep on JustTV.

Ice-cold Pabst and a Grabow loaded with Dunbar. in my 20's, I used to drink a lot of PBR. It was cheap and I didn't hate the flavor. Problem was that the bars I used to hang out at didn't have any craft beer. There was one place that had great craft beer and wine, but it was expensive. I used to have a few craft beers then hit my local dives. I still pick up a sixer of PBR for nostalgic reasons once and a while. Enjoying some OGS in the Gold Crown Belgedog.

I'm a huge fan of good beer. PBR is just what I drink when I'm in an American style lager mood. It's been the go-to for my friends' and I since highschool. Haha. I actually needed this as a fresh changeup. I've been drinking Unibroue beers for the last couple weeks. Heavy duty stuff.

Second bowl of Dunbar. I think I have cracked the case of the 'cigaretty' note some blends get. I think it is the nice Virginia that burns down to fine, white, powdery ash and sneaks through with the smoke towards the end. That's my guess as I always seem to notice that flavour with the light Virginia blends. Thoughts?

I've heard Pabst is a real luxury brand in China. In 2015 Inbev and CoorsMiller tried introducing Budweiser, Miller Light, High Life, Bud Light, Pabst, Heineken in Mexico. We're down to Heineken, Bud Light, and Miller Light so far this year and things aren't looking great for them. I support the Pericos baseball team here and when they won the LMB championship in 2016, they switched their sponsorship from Superior Beer to Bud Light. Incredibly enough they didn't force the concession stands to switch over and all of last season you could only get Superior Beer at the stadium. In case you haven't tried it, Superior beer isn't particularly great as far as mass produced lagers go but it's the one that I grew up with (back then most beers were only sold regionally) so it's the one I like. It's probably as good or a little better/worse than Pabst.

Captain in the Peterson was nice. Really a current favourite. Packing the Savinelli with Innsmouth now. Not sure where I stand in this blend. I should really let it sit and dry for a few months.

Nothing in a jar I have a hankerin' for and I've smoked from all my open tins today, so I think it's safe to open a new one. I'm thinking of opening a tin of either H&H:Red Eye, Viprati, or Virginia Memory. Gonna give it ten minutes and check back. First vote gets it. If everyone is in bed, I'll default to Viprati.
Saturday and I'm bored. Sorry. Haha

Saturday and I'm bored. Sorry. Haha If I might humbly suggest, open Red Eye as it has a catchy name! If you have satellite and can watch the Mexican channels. There's a great fight between a Filipino and a Venezuelan on channel 5. Gesta started out real strong but Linares is starting to impose his style in the later rounds.

Red Eye it is! Alas, I have FiOS. Only boxing I get is on HBO or sometimes they replay the good old fights on ESPN classic. Right now I'm watching Planet Earth: Blue Planet II on BBC.

What's FiOS? Blue Planet; Earth: The Sequel? Fios is the local carrier of fiber optic internet. Super fast, but expensive if you want a lot of channels. Blue Planet is in that Planet Earth series of nature documentaries- I've been obsessed with this stuff since I was a kid. There used to be a guy on tv in the 80s named Marty Stouffer and he had a show called Wild America- That man is to blame for said obsession.
