Just got it today. Looking good. Don't own many meers, as I insist on block meers with a push tenon. None of the other four or five are latticed, but this one I couldn't pass over.

That is a nice looking meer! I have a few block meers myself with push tenons that are great. I did have an old meer inherited from my stepfather that had an amber screw-in stem. Unfortunately, I had dropped the stem after unscrewing it from the shank. Stem fell on the floor and broke in half. What a *itch that was.
So, looks like its time to get some color on your new meer. Enjoy!

Nice looking Meer, IMP does a great job on aligning the pattern, some lesser grade carvers do it kind of hob-knobbish.
On the bright side, although replacing amber is pricey if it can even be done, breaking the meer would have been worse. I learned the hard way, all my meers get handled or smoked over carpet, grass, or over a table.
FWIW, Michael Myers at walkers briar does great work on replacing stems on old meers...he can get the acrylic to match pretty nicely.

Nice looking. Congrats and Enjoy. Lattice surface makes for a good (and stable) grip.

Congrats on that beauty. You should see some interesting colors develop as you smoke it.

Thanks all for the kind comments. Smoking it now, with a cotton glove on to bring on the coloring.

That's one gorgeous meer; lattice meers are my personal favorite. Classy photo too, if that's a cell phone pic, your phone has a pretty good camera in it.

Believe it or not, it's the camera on an iPhone 4S that I purchased back in 2009 or thereabouts. I keep telling myself that I need to get a new one, but myself doesn't listen too well anymore.

Dang. I've got an actual Canon digital camera, no phone at all, and I don't get pics that nice. Then again, maybe it's me

I just received my first IMP yesterday. Unfortunately, it is packed up to be returned. The shaping and engineering were wonky and the drilling was sloppy.
Glad you got a good one. I have never read anything bad about IMP, so I assume mine was a rare case.

Thanks, but it's not a big deal. Plenty of other pipes in the world.
