If memory serves, the William Ashton Taylor-manufactured pipes were branded for sale by McCranie's as either McArris or Romford, with the latter being offered as a value line.
The McCranie Pipe was a joint venture manufactured by Tonino Jacono and William Ashton Taylor, and my guess is that this is what is shown in the images above. Again, if memory serves, Mr. Jacono manufactued the bits and shaped the bowls, while Mr. Taylor sandblasted and finished the pipes.

I emailed McCranie's Store on Sunday and this is what they said: "Thanks for the inquiry. This pipe was not a Jacono/Taylor collaboration which started in the ’90’s. This pipe is from a line we had made in the ‘80s They were made in the Redmond factory in London out of Moroccan briar. Your pipe was made in 1986… hence the first and last digit of the number… the middle two numbers is the shape. Thanks" |

That is great to get such a precise response.
I have a Redmond, not sure which one it is, but it must be a good smoker it is in my rotation.
