From what I can tell, all pictures that you host on their site are by default publicly posted. You have to click the drop down menu to make them private... I cannot see where I can make them by default private.
I noticed that a few losers decided to get snarky about a couple of pipe pictures.

They think their pipes are so much better than yours?

They think their pipes are so much better than yours? They made stupid remarks about cancer and such. Some are completely vulgar for no reason, and it looks like Imgur has no way of bouncing people for being a holes. Edit: there is a way to report the crude dirtbags with just a couple taps.

Hello Charlie, I just read your post and decided to go to my Imgur account. I uploaded a misc pix, clicked the "view and edit" icon which took me to the editing area. Once there, you can "give your post a title" at the top of the photo or "add an image description" at the bottom of the photo. Simply hit the backspace arrow in the upper left hand corner of your browser (I have IE) and it will return you to your images. Note: in the upper left hand corner of the Imgur "view and edit" feature, you will notice a green icon named "share to community." If you click that icon, it will share your image or album on the public community, wherein it will be exposed to "those public comments...."

Is it possible to block all comments? I never did understand why I need someone commenting on a picture I post.

When I upload a photo, (99% via phone or iPad) using their app, there is a drop down left corner of Photo to select public or hidden and I always select hidden, well I try to. Had a few that I didn’t and had many views but no comments. The number of views triggered me to make sure to change selection to hidden.
