So I just purchased a new Peterson Champagne Silver Spigot, shape 999. I noticed that the mouthpiece "is a bit off". It's like it's leaning to one side. Not sure if this is a poor quality model that I got from the online seller or this is actually a common thing. Do you guys have any spigots and if so, did you encounter anything similar? Maybe I just worry too much... Here's my video on the topic: YOUTUBE LINK Here's a picture:

That's a pretty subtle lean to my eye, but it's an expensive pipe so if it bothers you you should return it and get something you'll be happier with. My return of my Peterson XMas pipes is still in limbo. Both had much more noticeable flaws than this, including the lettering on the shank partly covered by the metal mount. Not too impressed.

Get it fixed or replaced if you aren't happy. I have had repairs done that were not up to my specs and the pipe was never the same in my rotation (meaning I never reached for it like I did before). The "flaw" was always in the back of my mind.

Some Pete's get built on Monday's . . . but return or seek repair, if not satisfied.

Looks like the stem might could be straitened with just the right amount of heat.

If I spent a few hundred bucks on a Peterson, I would want it perfect. If you are not happy send it back as a repaired pipe is not what you gave good money for.

Who did you buy it from? If it was SP, they are very accommodating to customer issues.

Will the opinion of people on various forums sway your enjoyment?

Hey guys! Thanks for all the responses, I contacted the seller in Ireland and they were kind enough to take it back and have it fixed with Peterson. Could take 2-3 weeks that I can get it back but it will be aligned perfectly. As some of you pointed out it may not be a big deal but at the spigot range level I expect it to be perfect.
