Does anyone know where I can purchase these D&R tobaccos? I tried the usual suspects as well as rollyourown.com. I'm not having any luck. I'm interested in their Acadian Bright and the individual Periques.

I'm not sure if they still sell them. Indian river tobacco used to sell them, but they don't show on the website anymore. Cup o' Joe's has some residual stock I think. You may not be missing much, IMO,I tried a few and found them ashy tasting, even the perique.

Cup O Joes carried a lot of it, but I see that they've closed that page. You might try contacting Cup O Joe's directoy. Or, you might try contacting D&R tobaccos directly.
I have a number of these, and there are some real gems, including the various Periques, red, and the Acadian Virginias. You're getting the same components that are used in many very favored blends made under other labels.

I suspect the Acadian VA and the local Periques are found in Raccoons Delight and some of the RO blends. I'm smoking one of his Grant Point Perique blends now (GP-11). It happens to be one of my favorite Va/Pers. My only complaint is how fast it burns.

Yo Wo
Mark told me the fabulous Acadian Bright Virginia was just the one batch, and he will never do it again. The yield was terrible: 30%. I managed to nab a bunch of tubs, and they were the last of it. I brought some to a couple of the NYPC outings, and folks loved it.

I bought some tubs from Mark a couple of years ago and jarred them. I you can find a tub of the 10 year old Maker's Blend Perique, grab it! Same with the yenidje, if you like that oriental.

Confirming what lestrout said, the Arcadian Bright is gone and Mark is not planning on making anymore. I’m a regular at IRTT in Grand Rapids. Indian River Tobacco Traders in Wyoming (Grand Rapids), MI still has a bunch of other Blender's Bench on the shelf. Call the store. Call the one on 28th St. in Wyoming (Grand a Rapids). The Indian River Tobacco Traders in Newaygo, MI does not carry it or much other pipe stuff.
