C&D Haunted Bookshop/OJK/Three Friars. They press all my buttons for natural tobacco goodness depending on what strength level I desire.

Jim, one might be Sutliff J4 Burley that you turned me onto. It would be at the top, but the Butternut seems a tad more to my liking, though I have a few pounds of each I easily recommend the J4 Burley blend.

If you want an all-day Burley smoke, the aforementioned C&D offerings are great. (Big N' Burley, OJK and Briar Fox are favorites) However, coming off of 1-Q, you may still want a little more sweetness. Mac Baren's Scottish Blend is a great smoke for that. Good luck and let us know what you find!

Percentage wise, Sutliff has made inroads. Quality is up and there seems to be more uniformity in a blending standard, as opposed to the Altadis era. 20% Off Sales don't hurt either.

My favorite bulk tobacco right now is John Patton's Dark & Stormy. It's a great blend of burley, cigar leaf, and latakia.

So many Sutliff Matches could be a fave bulk. I was quite taken by VIP. It's still a fave, but James of Inks fame tuned me into the Sutliff J4 Burley and I am realizing that less flavor can be more. But darn, those Match Mixes are almost all solid

I don't smoke many bulks these days, but a favorite is C&D Yorktown. I'm also fond of Chatham Manor, though I suppose it's not really a bulk.

CM is classed as a bulk by me. I think anything where you buy considerably more for a cheaper price is considered bulk. I speak for me, though

I speak for me, though I find the idea behind CM kind of funny; it's an off-brand American OTC made by a Danish company only available for sale on the internet! I mean, what a high concept for such a humble blend.

I do like Sweet Cask a little better. i am for anyone that tries to recapture bygone flavors. I don't know if you've shared in another thread, but what options do you have if you don't use the Internet? Both Pouches and Bulk available?

I don't know if you've shared in another thread, but what options do you have if you don't use the Internet? Both Pouches and Bulk available? In Mexico the easiest place to find pipe tobacco is at any branch of the Sanborn's diner chain; they sell 50g pouches and 200g tubs of aromatic tobacco produced by Norma de Mexico under licenced names (Kentucky Club, London Dock, etc.). There are also a few B&M shops scattered about the country that sell the odd 50g pouch or 500g tub of Lane or Klondike aromatic tobacco plus a couple of specialty pipe shops that blend their own bulk (mostly) aromatic tobacco and may (usually don't) have imported tins of Dunhill or Peterson. There are the old school cigar makers that will sell scraps by the kilo for cheap in case you want to blend your own and Davidoff just opened a fancy shop in Mexico City which swears they'll be selling pipe tobacco soon. The local internet shops are a joke (think geocity pages without any prices or information) and usually won't deliver by mail. In reality the problem with pipe tobacco in Mexico isn't availability per se, it's quality and variety. The cigar industry on the other hand has incredible complexity and variety but, outside of the top companies, little quality control.

zambini - this is why I like International members, as they increase our knowledge base and offer a perspective different than our own.

That goes back to the Wild West Days of the Internet. Computers ran on steam then. In fact, that was the original facebook. Had they kept tweaking their sites we would still be using it. Thanks for that info. Not as bad as I thought it was, but certainly w/o the options here
