For my birthday I am starting out with some " Very Vintage" Edgeworth Sliced in a hand made cherry wood pipe. Raspberry Ice Crystal Light is my drink. Happy birthday Mike. Hope it's a good one.

Good morning all, starting the day with Old Joe Krantz in the Peterson rusticated 2011 POY B54. Drinking Victrola Coffee Roasters Empire blend. Good morrow to you, as well. Beautifully interesting pipe

D&R Two Timer Regular in a Ukrainian Author Dirty Coffee out of a clean Santa quart sized Mug
I had asked The Man from I.N.K.S. a while back about D&R. I bought this because it was all Burley. I smoked one bowl way back when I still had a lot of sinus issues, so it smoked like a cig to me. I finally lit up today sort of to compare it to Five Brothers. Both have a pretty Neutral flavor, and this one is a tad lighter. I believe I could tell the difference in a blind taste test, but this is still pretty Okie Dokie. I would not call it a mild Burley, but I believe you could use this as a blender.
edit- I have to add that this gets better throughout the bowl

Relaxing after a grilled ham and cheese with a bowl of Wilke TC Black & Gold in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic stem. Watching Gunsmoke and laughing at the fact that two of the villains are Darren McGavin and Simon Oakland, who later starred as Carl Kolchak and Tony Vincenzo in The Night Stalker. A bottle of Cheerwine made with pure cane sugar is my drink.

A very belated first smoke today after what seems to be a long, healing sleep time. At least I hope so. Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in the MM The General corn cob.

I love the 'exotics' (as we call them here), my favorite at the moment is Maximo Sexy who's from my neighborhood: yikes! Looks like someone took video of my family reunion. Growing up I was a big Mil Mascaras fan. Never saw him wrestle, but read about him in the magazines. He was one of the few really built wrestlers of the day when the going style was potbellied with comb-overs Are you saying potbellied with comb-overs are not in style anymore?

Then we should just post what we're smoking and nothing else. What someone is drinking, eating, or watching is irrelevant.

D&R Picayune with a cold IBC root beer and listening to news radio...
Completely disagree that we should reduce this thread to a terse hit n run "smoke only" graffiti board. I feel it it highly relevant to share and to know what enhances our smoke and brings comfort to our pastime, and even a subjective comment in review of a blend that may or may not resonate with intetest for a fellow member. How dull and dry otherwise... Just my not-so-humble opinion.

This is one of the reasons I post more when I can. Make it like a discussion. Someone said (not here) that pipe smoking is not compatible with discussion. I called BS on that. It's is about thought, but what good is thought without discussion.

Smoking our beloved pipe blends cannot and should not be done in a vacuum, nor should comment of it be so limited.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but it seems to me a Wrestling thread would be more interesting, focused and get more responses from more members. That sounds like fun to me. Maybe somebody will even post an ol' Haystack Calhoun video! Now smoking Robert McConnell Scottish Flake in a 1970's medium bend big bowl rusticated Sienna colored Savinelli Estella with a pearl grey stem. This will take a while to smoke.
