Greetings gentlepeople, I have smoked the same pipe ( Medico), and tobacco ( Troost and occasional Clan) with the odd cigar ( tiny Hamlet or Cafe Creme) in my pubs after the "salt mines" in the evening for decades.
Then I gave up pubs and found herbal smoking mixes ( nicotine free and legal) such as Farmers Honeyblend and Earth Impact, with corncob pipes, but they taxed them and the price shot up over 300%.
So I found the pipe hobby world online, and have got a small collection of fine pipes, and have sampled a variety of new blends, and found some regular favourites. I normally enjoy a bowl some late evenings with a long slow sipping nightcap of my various spirits, An old guys treat.
I have to confess I enjoy a vape of menthol to clear the lungs in the morning (no nicotine) and a few vapes of aperitif before and after meals (no nicotine) .
Life has some contentment at times with my little hobbies and a few old friends and family and my dog Pop and pets.
I whittle wood to relax while listening to music or audiobooks and stuff, and have recently ordered some African Olivewood to whittle a bowl and stem by hand with my flexcut Jack knife ( I have a lathe but it is noisy so I do not bother, and some Dremel tools and machines)
i look forward to meeting new friends and faces and learning some of your pipe lore and smoke some rings with you all .
PS . I am a devout Christian but I will keep my spiritual life to myself out of respect for the rules,
