Went to breakfast this morn with the family. The waitress was flirting with me a lot. I liked it. She got a HUGE tip (more than the bill). Made me feel like a younger man. In this day and age there is probably a rally or a protest against what she did but bless her heart. Wife was a bit miffed - oh well, get over it. I also know that is the game they play to make bigger tips. She did it for the tips and that is fine = I guess I just needed it today. Here is to the fine art of the woman. Cheers!

I have always tipped on service, and flirting can be part of it. Also, if I have a male waiter I made sure I treated him well. It is one of the jobs where being a male can be a drawback, unless in the fanciest restos.
To me, everyone involved in a night out is part of the enjoyment and I want the people that serve me to enjoy that, too.
Good thing I can't get out of the house anymore. Got tired of coming home and Xuan hitting me with the frying pan over my tipping methods

Bless your wife's heart as well ... mine would have had the waitress's heart out of her chest. Lol

Maybe it's a cultural difference but I feel that in the US waiters and waitresses are too pushy; I'm happy to call them when I need them but if I'm chewing do you really think I'm in a position to respond to your, "Everything OK over here"?

Nothing wrong with a little ego boost once in a while.

I had the same thing happen when I went out to dinner with my son, the 20 something year old was quite the flirt.... shattered my son’s ego when she never looked his way much... she got a good tip.
Another time I was in the store buying some Foster’s Lager in line at the checkout, the wife decided to leave the line and get something she forgot. A couple young hotties told me started flirting with me... telling me that they liked to party, while my wife held her piece and checked out after them listening to them and shooting daggers at me. She didn’t rip my heart out though... which surprised the hell out of me.
I have never worn a wedding ring, saw a guy degloved, I think that has played a role in the interactions.... in the case of my sone, he looked more broke than I do.😜

My wife and I were returning from a trip to south Texas, stoped at a Denny's in Denton right off I-35.Had a wonderful breakfast with our four kids and left an appropriate tip,$10 or $15.The waitress chased us down at our car and hugged us.Found out years later that a lot of Texans don't tip at all.Another night,my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. Went to the Red Lobster. This was on a Wednsday night and the place was packed. There was a table of eight right next to us,college kids. They made a right mess of the table. They argued over the added gratuity and the waitress got stiffed. We paid our bill and slipped the girl a twenty, she informed us that she was supposed to be off that night and we had given her not only the biggest tip of the evening, but also the first. And just for those nay sayers,I never had ask for coffee or try to answer with my mouth full. She was spot on as to her timing.
On another anniversary,we had stopped at a mom and pop restraunt. We were dressed to the nines. I was in a Dbl-brested suit and my wife was in an Evening gown. The hostess greeted us and asked if we had a reservation. We didn't.NP The head waiter sat us at a reserved table and took our order himeself. We had 5 star treatment and the tip reflected that. Now the the other folks who had stopped in off the Highway might have felt a bit out of place, but we had a wonderfull meal and exceptional service.Just because we were dressed for an exceptional Evening.

never had a waitress flirt with hubby in front of me, but when our son was a baby we got very good service -- the waitresses couldn't resist his blond curly hair and bright blue eyes. He ate it up too, smiled real big and giggled adorably. He always got free cookies, lol.
Interestingly hubby was just commenting this morning that it's been decades since any woman has hit on him, he assumes he has finally gotten too old and ugly, lol. fortunately for me he is usually rather oblivious to the fact he's being flirted with. I usually have to practically hit him over the head with a frying pan to get him to realize I'M coming on to him *sigh*
