I'm trying to remember the name of this company. My older brother drove for them and can't remember the name either. It was in the early to mid-90's. You would get a little white plastic lock box installed on your porch. You'd call in and rent your movies, then sometime later a delivery driver would come put em in your box. Usually you'd getc home from school or work to find your tapes waiting for you. It was pretty fun.
Well, at one time I had a few of those lock boxes, and I'd like to hunt down a few more for a project Im working on, but I can't do that without the company name.
I doubt anyone even remembers this, but I've got my fingers crossed.

...might have been a local thing? No results on a search, and I have no recollection of something like that...

I know it was at least statewide in California, because they played commercials for it on tv up north, and in central California, plus my brother drove for them in southern California. But perhaps it wasn't as known as I remembered. I know it didn't last too long, but I remember a lot of those lock boxes being on people's porches.
I've spent a couple hours searching. I know the information is out there. I just haven't found it yet.
I've never had this much trouble searching for something before.

Ask your brother to look in his old tax papers. If he still has them , he should have a W-2 from the company.

There is no finer feeling than the stark awe a five year old boy feels upon entering those dusty, hallowed aisles of the local video shop- All those thousands of little treasure chests line the endless shelves; Seeming to lean towards you as you pass; Each wrapped in glorious, ominous, otherworldly art that promises an unbelievable world exists within.. THEN Netflix killed the Blockbusters and NOW Netflix is killing Hollywood. haha Who needs it, I guess? Nowadays people just eat laundry soap and spend hours watching other people play video games on YouTube.

When I was growing up ,,a video game was trying to get chanel 4 to come in by putting foil on the antenna and hold your arms out.Trick was not to drool, that would bring in the black bars.
