Well, I didn't call him Lotte Lenya. I got the last name right finally. Still working on the first one

I have a switchblade in my pocket at this moment. You know, just in case I run across a juicy looking frog with fat legs.

How about listening to "Red Queen to Gryphon Three" or, "Waiting for the Electrician"? Never heard of those. The only country song I like is "Her and the Car and the Mobile Home was Gone" Gryphon was an obscure phenomenon from that period of time that we can't remember. Waiting for the Electrician, (subtitled "Don't Squash That Dwarf, Pass Me the Pliers"), was a Fireside Theater release. Probably not in Missouri, though.

Not sure I get this thread. I don't know that I have a tobacco that I am embarrassed to smoke. I love Capstan and because of it's price, I may feel guilty buying it. haha Does that count?

It's all in fun, Justin. I keep some Captain Black White on hand. If you were to believe most of the reviews of CBW, it is made of a combination of dog crap and used toilet paper. In reality, reviews don't mean a hill of beans. We all like what we like, but sometimes when someone asks us what we are smoking, we give a little bit of a sheepish response, knowing that what we are smoking may be looked down upon by others. That is all this is about.
Nothing serious, nothing to really "get". Just a silly thread to invite a bit of conversations

"Waiting for the Electrician, or Someone Like Him" was a Firesign Theatre LP release. "Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me the Pliers" was a separate LP, years later.

I was down in Branson a few times before much was done with it. Dad and I stayed in a hotel where the parking lot was still mud. Had not had a chance to pave it yet. It was supposed to be a Midwest gambling Mecca that never came about due to laws. That said, They had Andy Williams and hosted the Sons of the San Joaquin, so I would have loved to see it after it became a big deal. I agree with Ronv69 but not because he told me to

Branson is clean, friendly, wholesome, and not least, affordable. Jaded need not apply. Really pretty country, too. I guess that going there is a guilty pleasure for me. You can even smoke a pipe there, last time I checked. Probably should make it a MM, just to be safe.

Also, I like Carter Hall. Haha. I never feel guilty because precisely none of my friends know anything about pipe tobacco. They're the type that if it smells like cherries, they assume it's the 'good stuff.' haha. But yeah... I can see the situation where I'm at a party and manage to happen across another pipesmoker and all I have in my tobacco roll is CH. Haha
