Greetings all, the Aromatic Pharts Pipe Club will be holding our February meet-up at our normal spot, JR Cigars Mooresville NC this Sunday February 18th at 1pm until around 5pm. All welcome - you can't miss us, we are the old Pharts with the pipes.  -We usually meet at this same location/time every month (on the third Sunday). While we try and stick to this schedule it does occasionally change, so if you want to receive an email reminder on our meet-ups please PM me with your name and email address and I will add you to the list. I plan on being there after missing the last two. I screwed myself by posting the above statement. It sucks mud-caked rhino balls not having a car that runs, and sitting there in the friggin parking lot looking at me every time I go out. |

Bad way to start the week, I hope that it turns out to be a minor repair. It's been sitting there for 4 months or so. No money to buy a battery, front brakes, and tires, so it won't pass a NC inspection. It's one of the biggest sources of depression for me. Makes me mad enough to smack my Grandmother right in the mouth ( some comedian use to say that in his skits) |

Erik Stokkebye joined us today for our monthly meet up. Nice guy and enjoyed his interesting talk on his family's tobacco legacy and his 4th Generation line of tobaccos, pipes and accessorys.  |

I don't know if it is dumb luck, but the Arizona Pipe Club meets the second Saturday of every month, and as far as I can recall, we have never had a conflict with a holiday...not sure if it would be the same if we met the second Sunday of every month.
Pretty cool getting Eric Stokkebye to your club meeting, we meet at a great venue, and very accomodating, but there doesn't seem to be much desire by the proprietor to promote pipe events. I think most of the tobacco he sells is an ounce here or there of a bulk aromatic. Some of us have approached these kinds of shoppers when they wander in during our meeting, inviting them to join us regularly gets a tepid response from them...social media seems a lot more effective.
I think that there are a lot more pipe smokers than not that have never heard of a pipe club, and smoke a blend that uncle George or Dad smoked, and when approached about a pipe club have a weird misconception of what it is about.

We run in to conflicts all the time trailboss - in fact, our very first meeting ever was on Valentine's Day. I guess we were trying to identify the hardcore pipe smokers right off (or the lonely;-)).

R blood (Bob) and I had a great time today, the place was really busy and had appetizers, a brunette giving massages, liquor, good cigars for the raffle drawing. Can't wait till next month
