Made another old Danish reform style inspired stack pipe in a shape I've always admired. I'm out of control here making these things, getting to like it. Overall length 6.5 inches Height 2.9 inches Bowl dia 1.5 inch Chamber depth 2.5 inches Chamber dia. 0.68 inch Started breaking it in, so far pretty mellow.

See you stuck closer to the source with this one . . . . a tribute pipe as it were. Looks terrific!

Thanks men. Yep, the Pipe Dan folks need a tribute. A few more shapes to do yet!
Ah yes, the corks are a remembrance of wines past.

What a beauty!
Are you going to dedicate that pipe to a particular type tobacco?

Sweet pipe - you like the chimney's it appears. I recommend you dedicate this pipe to Napa Valley pipe tobacco.

Thank you gents for your kind comments, especially from such discrimiationg people No, trailboss, not gonna dedicate it, I only smoke lat blends and the occasional Haddo's Delight anyway, so all my pipes are dedicated you might say. Yep, I do like chimneys. Burn long and cool, Bring out The flavors very well. I don't think I want to dedicate it to a tobacco that tells me I'm gonna hurt myself. Besides, I have a lot of Napa liquids alongside quite often, as my corks attest. Cheers

slowroll , do you have any plans to sell these? Well, I guess I will when I get some more briar blocks. I think I might be able to turn out some that won' t disappoint a customer. Thanks for asking. I'll let you know.

I don't know how discriminating I am but I've seen enough Dan Pipes know I like this pipe very much. Nice Shape! We've been enjoying wine from 2 mixed cases of 2nd and down 2000 Bordeaux's that have been aging in the davecave. I want to make a cork board with just the full size natural corks we have sitting around.

My wife and I shed tears over Christmas; opened the only bottle of Chateaux Margaux 1993 that weve had since 1996, when it wasnt too dear, and it was bad.

That pipe would have graced any page in any Pibe Dan catalogue any time. If I haven't written it before, I'll write it again; that pipe is a beauty, pure and simple.

Beautiful pipe. I think I'm too much of an amateur to keep that deep bowl lit though.

Beautiful pipe. I think I'm too much of an amateur to keep that deep bowl lit though. Not a problem at all. Bowl is 11/16 dia, so channels air nicely. Conversely, i have a problem keeping wide bowls lit.
