I listened to these two CD's I received on Tuesday and Wednesday. I forgot how much I love So Long Ago, So Clear. It's a fantastic CD. As I predicted, overall, Light And Shadow is on the mellow side, and an excellent way to finish off a Vangelis listening session. Both CD's are highly recommended as Vangelis is an excellent composer who is very effective at evoking emotion in the listener.

Episode 93 is the one I am listening to. Looks like he is also on episode 95. Charl Goussard is interviewed in episode 113.

This is the CD that got me into YES. I found this CD at a Diabetic Camp I was attending in about 1990 (in the "staff lounge") and I started listening to this Disc. I was immediately hooked. I listened to this CD/tape endlessly for weeks after. Later, I asked everone at the camp if the Classic YES CD belonged to them, and absolutely no one claimed it. I still have that CD in my collection (along with literally every other YES CD released). One of the top 3 best bands of all time, and probably my favorite.

The Alan Parsons Project "The Definitive Collection" I have a lot of Alan Parsons music, what an amazing talented individual he is, I listen often, never tire of his music. I have always been amazed at how incredibly clean and tight his recordings and that of Steely Dan were, pre digital age.

Rick is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and if he never made it as a musician, he could have made it as a stand up comedian. That said, I am not suprised he made it as a musician as he is, IMO, one of the best (if not the best) rock keyboard players to have ever lived.

Jimmy Webb wrote most of Glenn Campbells songs, so it made sense that this song "clicked" with me when I saw Waylon so many years ago....Donna Summer may have had great sucess as a disco hit, but Hoss really nailed it.
A good pictorial of Hoss...
