Guns and Roses Greatest Hits Now you're taking! Saw them live a few years ago, still one of the best shows I've attended!

Spent the day cleaning out the garage listening to 80's radio on Amazon Music, amazing how many one hit wonders there were back then!

Morning spent listening to current country, although more and more country sounds like kids bop to me!

Shinedown, Pantara, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dope, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Drowning Pool, Godsmack and Def Leppard. I have a lot of work to do today. My passive aggressive way of ignoring anybody that comes into my office

@peterc The 90s as well. One-hit wonders I mean. Easy to recall the good bands like Soundgarden, but all those bands like The Toadies, Seven Mary Three, and Local H.. I heard a fact once about something like 65% of all music never made it from vinyl, so it will be lost once that old wax deteriorates. Really sad. Especially when I think about the fact that the majority of the music I love most is by no means popular and would suffer the same fate if we weren't in the digital age.

Don't forget the Butthole Surfers, Bush, The Offspring, Primus (South Park theme song, not withstanding), Bowling for Soup some of my forgotten favorites. As far as the vinyl, most stations have digitized all their libraries, regardless of what they play. Most in our area switch to an automatic/digital playlist after a certain time in the late evening (no need to pay a DJ). My two pennies.

Tonights music, sitting on patio, glass of whiskey (JD Tennessee Honey) and smoking Stave Aged 35 - listening to Soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera! Sorry, but by definition that's not whiskey, it's a liqueur.

They're all well known and safe though. Offspring and Primus we're some of my favourite bands in Jr high. I still dig them.out occasionally. In fact- Primus is on tour this year. Going to see them with Mastodon.

Giving the new Mastodon record a thorough cover-to-cover listen for the first time. So far.. Yeah- They're brilliant, but I don't feel like they even sat down to write this one. So far it just feels like a pile of decent B-sides.

So far it just feels like a pile of decent B-sides. And they won a grammy for best metal record if memory serves right. Primus has never stopped touring those guys are insane. Im going to slayer, lamb of god, behemoth, anthrax and testament late in may. I can not be anymore excited without spontaneous combustion occuring. Im listening to my gojira pandora station a good mix of modern metal.

beardedmiWas it for this record? If so, I still wouldn't be surprised. Those awards are just a self- promotion raquet for the record industry. Haha Show me a metal head and I'll show him ten bands he's never heard of that will change his life! Still.. That Leviathan album... This band certainly earned their days on the beach.

It was leviathan. Their music doesn't strike me the same way my favorites do so I dont intentionally seek it out.
