Indeed. I remember getting that album years and years ago. We didn't call it vinyl, we called it an album. The cover had several pages and the imagery set my imagination on fire. I recall long swirling bandages like a mummy unraveling. I was into all things Edgar Allen Poe at the time, and felt like someone was getting it, like the music understood me. Well, me at the time.
That and a lot of other great albums were lost when the hurricane took my parents house a few years back.
I was never much of an Alan Parsons Project fan. I can't quite place my finger on it- I kind of looked at them Pink Floyd wannabes. Not a hater, just not a fan.

In an hour and a half, I will be watching Alan Parsons take the stage.

As I've posted here before, I enjoy sitting up in the cave, perusing the patch on the laptop, enjoying a bowl or two, sippin an adult beverage and listening to a playlist on youtube of mostly blues.
So far this evening I've listened to SRV, Clapton, Gary Clark, Keith Urban & Maher, and countless others.

I know your a big fan so congrats and have a great time!!
Thanks Darin,
I have been to many concerts from 1975 going forward...I have seen (all in their prime) the mighty Zep, The Who, Stones, Deep purple, Ritchie Balckmore on his own, Carlos Santana, and too many more to recall.
I would put this Alan Parsons concert in the top three...really brought the house down. I went into the concert with low expectations...I know that Alan cut his teet on the Abbey road album...(which is like a pipe smoker saying that their first smoke was Edgeworth slices in a super grade pipe)...but he has had numerous vocalists and musicians over the years, since his concept of a band is a "project"....Eric Woolfson is long gone, who was quite a force in the project.
Every song that I could have wanted to hear was played, and everything was spot on... after a couple of hours, when I thought it was going to be the end of the show, Alan said "we are going to take a break and come back on and do the complete I Robot album"....holy smokes! I was glad to see that the ticket wasn't split with an opening act....woooofreakin, hooo! (No audio on Imgur)
Another two hour stint, it was quite an event...my wife said it drew me back to earlier days...

It was!
The crowning moment...
For several years, especially in the early ones....the wife would get pissed at me about something. I would reply, "Damned if I do, Damned if I don't but I love you"
She was familiar with the song, but never bought into it.
After the concert she said "ok...I get it"
Aln Parsons, marriage saver!

Sounds like an awesome event...and to play for a couple of hours and then return to play through a whole album - amazing.
Listening to The Doors Greatest Hits on my Spotify Premium playlist
Recently purchased a pair of Bluedio Victory Pro 🎧 headphones 🎧. The audio quality highs, mids and bass is simply phenomenal. These headphones as far as overall audio quality and build are in the same class as my Grado RS1E headphones @ 1/3 the price.
I’m also a big fan of Rush, especially Neil Peart. For years I played the drums and in my dreams one day I would have been this good. Don’t know if you had the chance to see/hear this Neil Peart drum solo......it’s a must watch. Put on a good set of earbuds/headphones and get ready to be amazed!!!

Wow. he must have arms like tree-trunks. I play the drums but in a very basic capacity compared to THAT. I think I'm good when I can play 16ths without skipping a beat.
