sometime in the afternoon, JS Bach Christmas Cantata on vinyl. Have xcellent Technics turntable. Esp on classical/baroque, just seems so much "warmer", "richer" than digital....more "crisp" for sure with country/R&R etc

Gave up all that old tech and converted everything to FLAC files for the computer. Newer computers have excellent DAC/AMPS already built in. At least with a good after market motherboard. The worst form of music playback has to be Appppple at 256kbps that is way below industry standards. Change how you listen to music www.schiit.com/home if you dare. I simply don't have the room for all my old Sansui stuff or my Garrand turn tables so they are in storage. YMMV |

725gb of music I don't know how many darn hours that is. Cause you never know when you might need to hear something that is no longer on a newer format.

Loving the new Mark Knopfler, but then again, I've loved everything he has ever put out.
I'm excited to see him next year, he is one of my bucket list artists I've always wanted to see live. It's one of those times the experience far outweighs the expense.
Listening to the Riverdance soundtrack, always good on the ears.

Finished Voivod's "Dimension Hatross" and have moved onto Clutch, "Strange Cousins from the West" I caught some old school hellhammer and misfits today on xm and realized why I love the old stuff so much its that gritty sound and maybe even the poor mix where the bass and kick drown out everything but the vocals. |

This timeless piece of music, from a 1982 animated movie of a 1978 children's book. That such transcendent music can have such "humble" origins is pure genius, and a great example of what people can do when they do their best regardless of the task.
