Some cobs from a grab bag. Everything else gets smoked early and often.

With more than 175 pipes, I have some that no one would want to smoke but they are unique because of some rare designs. Some are freaky. A couple are beautiful beyond belief. And some I just haven't gotten to yet.

None. total 51 pipes (complete). Longest ever went without smoking same...2-3 mins to load 'er up, fire 'er up. From the old Richie Esserman "school"; buy/swap/trade for a pipe, smoke the damn thing.

I have a few unfinished Ukrainian pipes that I have not smoked, as they are all similar. The one that is 17 inches long I smoked once then pondered the wisdom of making a pipe that long. Finding none, it is in my dresser drawer

I have none. Whenever I get a new pipe in, I smoke it almost immediately. I am like a kid at Christmas when it comes to new pipe.

I have a box full of new MM cobs purchased on the cheap but don’t think they count? I have one Tinsky, a new 2016 five star blasted egg with a wooden inlaid amber stem I just haven’t gotten around to breaking in yet.

...I keep thinking... "a smoker only needs 7 pipes", but the damn things are like rabbits... they keep multiplying... I’m currently in the process of whittling down my briar collection to two dozen and it’s gut wrenching. Only seven? I’d probably hang myself in the backyard first.

From the time I get my grubbies on it to when I smoke is is only dictated by it's condition on arivall. If it's new, of which I have three that I got that way,I pack it and smoke as the paper is still falling. An estate off ebay will get a deep cleaning, about two days. The Mrs buys stuff to sit on the shelf and look pretty,I buy stuff to use.

Just one that remains unsmoked at this time. A MM Marcus. Seems like it keeps getting overlooked for another smoker. Poor thing

3 and a boatload of cobs.... Townsman Meerschaum by the Tanganyikan pipe company. A Wally Frank briar billiard And an Altinay calabash. Not sure why I haven't smoked them...drilling is spot on on all of them, aesthetically pleasing, I have about 80 good smokers that I am content with smoking...picked these up in different brick and mortar lots where the previous smoker never took them for a test drive.

I have two sets of pipes. One is my smoking collection and one is my collectible collection. The total of unsmoked pipes between the two collections is less than 5.
In the smoking collection there is one unsmoked pipe that I just haven’t gotten to yet. About 3 months ago, I picked up an unsmoked, hand made BBB "Best Make" shape 603 Billiard with original box and sock that is probably from the 40s, 50s, or 60s. I intend to smoke it, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

...I keep thinking... "a smoker only needs 7 pipes", but the damn things are like rabbits... they keep multiplying... I only wanted the one from 1984 that I have misplaced. If I had found it, I would have never gone to eBay looking for pipes, or found the pipe forums and I would be thousands wealthier and missing a lot of great people.

At least 5. Two of them comprise a 1907 Barling companion set and there are 3 other vintage unsmoked Barlings. Probably one of two others. All the rest I smoke.

My unsmoked pipes breakdown like this: I inherited one pipe broken, one with an unaligned screw stem, two repeat The Pipes (which I have a low opinion of), one left filled which I'm too sentimental/superstitious to use, and one that I just haven't had the need to try out yet.
