I am getting into some Bourbon Blends and just ordered some Sutliff Whiskey, which is Old Granddad, I am told. Sutliff also has Bourbon and Bourbon Street. The last one is a match to the old Bond Street, which has more flavors.
Sutliff Bourbon is a very smooth smoke, truly like a Velvety Kentucky Bourbon Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey is about as good, with a slight chemical hwang Super Value Bourbon Whiskey is pretty good, different quality, though not tasting cheap I have some very old Bourbon Blend made by American Tobacco from the Seventies, I think. It's a little more potent due to age
Frogaeii truculentus (@truculentfrogs) has posted (WAYS) about Holger Danske Blend. I have a tin of that on the way, as I love their other tobacco so much I feel it's a must.
Comoy's #5 is also on the way. Any thoughts?
I have a tin of C&D Strathspey, which would be Scotch Whisky (no E), but that is in the "will try someday" dept.
Curious how others feel about the Bourbon/Whiskey/Whisky blends feel and what is their pleasure

I like Moonshine XXX - a really nice, smooth English-aro bourbon blend. And of course, FMC. The only other I recall trying is Highland from PS, I think. Not my thing. Too much Burley for me, and it didn't taste like whisky. Looking forward to the tin of Bothy Flake I have, though.... Btw, I am not even going to touch the grammar in this thread title, david!

For years I avoided whisky blends, even disdained them, but in that never say never mode, I will learn along with you.

I have a pouch of Erin Go Bragh you can have. Scrooge sent it to me the sneaky lil' bugger. Says Irish Whisky on it in bold letters.

Curious how others feel about the Bourbon/Whiskey/Whisky blends feel and what is their pleasure I've heard negative reviews concerning Comoy's Cask 5 but haven't tried it. Some say that it is a weak attempt to cash-in on some famous rye whisky which has nothing to do with Comoy's.

regarding bite: the HD Black and Bourbon is palate friendly. I can't see it biting the majority of pipers.

...now, a pipe of tobacco and whiskey on the side is a grand thing...
