We are cut some similar cloths David👍 Though I may never meet many people here in person, the friendships stand at they are. People can/may share as they wish and get to know each other in the same way. Back in the Wild West Days of the Internet online friendships were not considered real. I take exception to that. Especially with the kind people here. PS - I was wondering where the other half of my loin cloth was

These friendships are just as valid as if we met each other every day in person. In fact, I now have more interaction with my friends here than with me face-to-face friends (I was tempted to write, ' real friends' out of instinct, but I deliberately didn't).

All the above is probably due to the food nazis insisting that everything that tastes good be removed from food or a warning label put on. I have a bottle of pure maple syrup that claims it is gluten free. Who the hell doesn t know that maple syrup wouldn't have gluten anyway? Swear to God, I saw gluten free water once. Well, I mean, we all see gluten free water pretty often ;-).... But this was labeled that way! Slow, I dig your avatar (and the one at the old site I could never register at lol). Very familiar, though it's been a few years... Welcome to the forum. Don't just dip your toe - jump right in...the water's lovely.

I was about to have a bowl at lunch, but it's about to rain...bummer. It's also only 8 degrees here today. What's that about? Come on Ireland!

So I got out with my twain and ennerdale mixture and was enjoying the sun (at about 9 degrees) and the skies opened up and the hail fell like crazy. This bowl is gonna have to wait until later on this evening.

so much for the luck of the Irish. Or is that about right? I mean, there is Murphy's law afterall....
this gives new meaning to the delayed gratification technique!

Had some Admiral's Choice Black and Gold in a cob. Just finished some American Spirit in a new cob.
I bought 3 cobs and some tobacco from MM. The box it was shipped in was so good I am keeping it to store my tutu in.
American Spirit tobacco is an English Blend, but it is one of the rare tobaccos I consider just average. Not a well balanced smoke. All of this could change after more bowls, but that won't happen any time soon.
Three packages of MM Great Dane Tobacco were in the order. This tobacco totally rocks.
Latest Archie comic came today. Haven't read it yet, but noted The Man From I.N.K.S. was listed in the first story. Way to go Jim!

Smoking some Hickory Match in a Cob Cutty. This blend is almost like Dan Tobacco Da Vinci. Has a fruity, almost wine-like, top-note with a slightly smoky undertone. This could be mixed with other tobaccos to add or subtract flavor without getting in the way.
Anyone up for the Rugby match between the Reticuli Zorchskins and the Pleiades Cosmic Raiders? Surely beats Tottenham Vs. Manchester in Football

MM Great Dane Blend in a cob that was taken from the teeth of a skeleton at the state fair. This is not the fair where the pigs ate my little brother, but I sure wish I had this tobacco with me for that show.

Possibly last smoke of the night: Dutch Chocolate American Spirit English in a Genod Paneled Bent Author. Mixed some OJ with cheap diet Lemon Lime soda.
I hear the gentle voices calling, so goodnight Chroniclers. Welcome and goodnight to the new ones who have found this little corner where Main Street crosses Dementia Lane

Yea, I might get some gratification in a month or so. So I went to go outside to get my pipe from yesterday and continue where I left off. Came back inside to get something and the hail came again! Ireland is good for my health.

At the moment I'm smoking a bowlful of low-fat 'Old Dark Fired' in a gluten-free Lorenzo.

That's a very good point! The sun came out for 20 mins so I got another third of the bowl smoked with her before we had to get our daughter from school. Now it's bucketing down again so I decided to dump the last third and get back to work!

I can laugh because it isn't me, but you do have my sympathy. We've had many nice days this spring but I couldn't sit out to smoke because it was raining. I am going to have to put my foot down and make hubby build a screened-in patio!

And, when I think about it, I'm used to being laughed at too.
