Only one hour to go at work and it's sweet, sweet FREEDOM!! We are supposed to be really warm this week (mid 90's) and the pool is ready. At some point, I'll be floating with a beer in one hand and pipe in the other. Have a great week everyone and keep the lit side up!

I'm proud of myself -- productive day. Worked on 2 customer pipes, worked on 1 customer airplane wing, so now I deserve my half lb of of tobac in my great big urn, cup of expresso and a cognac and a piece of key lime pie (I like to cram my vices all together).

After such great weather yesterday it's clouded over and isn't as warm. It's to brighten up later on, so hopefully taking the family out somewhere on our day off (May-day Bank holiday). It's to rain the rest of the week. Not sure I'll get a pipe smoked this week. That's ok thought, I got a couple of smokes in last week.

Fixed one of my toilets today. Works real good now. it's the little things... I wound up getting worn out on a stopped kitchen sink. Since my neck operations back in 2000 my arm strength has gone. I got it started, but little 101 pound Xuan finished it. Always good to get plumbing out of the way

cgvt great poem and congrats on your daughter getting it published. I recently posted lyrics to some songs I wrote forty years ago. Got some nice comments. Professor in a writing class asked if he could use them. Told him they were free as long as name was attached. Darin a little jealous of the pool. My last attempt at a horse troth failed. Love the cycle btw. zambini free rent if you cook a meatball pizza every week. slowroll sounds interesting as all getout. I see a weekly show on A&E, American Plane Restoration Scott W not sure how that drink sounds, but I love cream soda. Stanhill spent a lot of my years making wife jokes. I shy away from most now. I am proud of rolling off the couch drunk one night, crawling over to her and asking her to pull my finger. Legend Lover is rain in Ireland as pretty and romantic as it sounds? The Old Colonel (dad) is doing better, but he has lost a lot of his memory abilities. Two days of the Derby reminded me of how much I love Kentucky... not that I forget Garage roof got put on just in time. We had a real blowout the other day. Not as romantic as I think Ireland would be. The beauty of partying on Zeta Reticuli is that you can binge for three days and come back to Earth only missing a half hour, so I got the beach movies in with the derby. However, drinking too much Glork while watching Annette and Frankie makes the Reticulans a little nutty. Everyone wants to pluke your ngork. Which leads to my question: If you were to teach people from another era or planet about the world you come from, would you show them: A) The Porky's Trilogy B) The Revenge of the Nerds Quadrilogy C) The Rocky Horror Picture Show & Phantom of the Paradise

@cosmicbobo I'd go with d) Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. We need to scare those aliens silly. I just finished editing and submitting an academic article to a journal in the Netherlands. Here's hoping they accept it (it's a little short, 19 pages).

Here's hoping they accept it (it's a little short, 19 pages). Excellent thought on the movie. I am fond of Porky's as it was sort of like living in the small town I lived in for a while. Revenge/Nerds had me in stitches though. I do agree that we need to keep the Reticulans at bay, otherwise they'll want to pluke everyone's ngork. Wow, and good luck on the article. My days on writing are mostly over. Sending an article from Mexico City to the Netherlands has me curious, but I won't push. No, I won't. I sure won't... darnit

@cosmicbobo
Abstract
Through the application of agglomeration economics to cross-border city pairs along the US-Mexico border, the article develops a quantitative methodology for classifying said city pairs and identifying the likelihood of any one being a bi-national city. This addresses the overreliance on descriptive analysis and case studies found within existing bi-national city literature while simultaneously expanding the analysis from individual city pairs to all the city pairs along a shared border.

So if there were three cities in close proximity along the border, any chance of a ménage à national cluster developing there? Just messing with you zambini. Tell us about your new gym manager lady friend.

So if there were three cities in close proximity along the border, any chance of a ménage à national cluster developing there? Just messing with you zambini . Tell us about your new gym manager lady friend. It's rare but it does happen as in the case of Aqaba, Jordan; Eilat, Israel; and Taba, Egypt. In 2012, back during the Arab Spring, I tried to study all three but the Egyptian authorities were in no way able to help me out. The big secret in a lot of these cold peace border cities is that whilst the national governments don't really like each other, at the local level everyone is friendly enough. Things with the gym manager are going well enough but I think she's more interested in just a physical relationship than anything else. She has a kid that attends a tennis academy a couple of states over and I'm not sure what to make of that yet; my experience is that single moms are hard to date but without the kid at home during the week maybe it works out.

Stanhill spent a lot of my years making wife jokes. I shy away from most now. I am proud of rolling off the couch drunk one night, crawling over to her and asking her to pull my finger. I don't do alcoholic beverages anymore and DW doesn't have to pull my finger. The volleys make the cat get up and leave the room. DW has become immune. "What is the point of having an arsehole if you cannot let it rejoice in song". (A Scottish saying).

Just goes to show how self-absorbed I am.
I read the bit about me and went straight to reply, forgetting to go back and read the rest.

The Chronicler's Word of the Day
Castello Sea Rock - For all your Desert Tobacco Fans, give this a try. I just ordered a half pound tin that put us back in the red for the month. It's a very seaworthy butterscotch, toffee flavor, maybe salted caramel. There are two reviews on TR. I won't say the fellow's handle, but it is not PipeStud. I just don't feel like mentioning Deathmetal by name. OOoops. He says it's a better than average aro and gives it 1 star. That is so frickin dishonest that I really want to mention Deathmetal by name. Thing I like is that many flavored tobaccos give you some background flavor, but you don't always get the actual flavor you are looking for. Happens to me all the time, so when it's something this obvious I give it a good report.
Next. This one is def between us. I sort of suspect that many Sutliffs, Stokkebye's, and Newminsters are the same tobacco. Peaches and Cream vs. Creamy Peaches. You get my drift. Well, I found some PS English Orient I put in a jar and forgot about. Many may have read my thoughts on Penzance and watching the Derby. Disclaimer - I am not saying this is a Penzance replacement, but it actually has more of a flavor close to Penzance than even the GLP blends. There was some validation reading a reviewer saying his "sutliff" English Orient tasted like the Big P. And, I am figuring it is the same as the PS. Let's just say that if this is even half Big P it's worth a go. Well, I estimate it is that at least! It won't save you from Penzance TAD, but it might keep you pleasantly occupied in between tins. If this is ripoff Big P that would make them the Pirates of Penzance.
Remember, this is for Chroniclers only. Hush Hush, Down Low, and on the QT.
May the Smoke be with you

LOL! Thanks for the heads up. I like English Orient, maybe I should stash some away. You know, I have wanted to write a pipe smoking mystery and the title i had in mind for the first one was -- Pirates of Penzance. I just could never come up with a plot. Hmmm.

Heya, looks like the weekend is beginning for international Chroniclers. Legend Lover Stanhill zambini Have a wonderful weekend. antb you are sooo missed. I hope all is well with you and mom in Namibia. All of our local members, I pray you have a great weekend and plenty good smokes too. Not that we have a lot of of posters, but if I try to name you all I'll forget one. I just had a nap. Woke up early so the Vet could come by for Bully the Lionhearted. I am hoping the Heartworm test is neg. Doctor said even if not, we just keep him on the meds and it will go away. Bully was so happy to see her. We got him from her shelter. You could see she had feelings for him, too. Been smoking different burley blends today. Sutliff J4, Butternut Burley, did a mix of MM Great Dane (mostly cav) and Butternut. Very smooth smoke. Saint Louis Wrestling put their latest set of matches on YouTube. Love the wrestling without all the WWE Hoo Hah. But they took the announcer away and went with a set camera. So, if this is still the case I'll just look over some other old videos. Maybe a SciFi movie or two... old style. Robinson Crusoe on Mars, When Worlds Collide. Word to the wise: If you ever visit Zeta Reticuli don't get into any political discussions. I'm suspended. I'll have to kiss up to the Pleiadians for some fun now. May the Smoke be with you all
