Yeah, I didn't get on the highest horse in my stable. The page speaks for itself. That Fugs CIA Man song I posted, written in 1968 was talking about putting LSD into the sugar, and outhitting the hitmen of Chicago. Good song too. Haha... that's great. Glad you said something. I didn't recognize the words as a link. In my best Sixties Voice - I can dig it

LBF in a poker, scotch to drink and watching top chef on TV. Bad weather on the way Love cooking and travel shows. What is sad is that they don't show the travel shows in the morning anymore. Used to be there would be a show about visiting little towns and all the things like confectioneries and food stops. There was also John Ratzenberger's Made in America. He would go all over the country showing how things are made. I can't even remember what years, either 2010 and 2011 or 2011 and 2012, I broke one leg one year and the other the next. Spent weeks in rehab home with limited cable. I lived for those travel shows in the morning. It kept me busy till Xuan came to see me each day. Anyway, cooking shows are nice to see when you're limited. Probably calling it a night. Good morrow, antb , wherever you are. Say good morrow to sidstavros , charl , and Legend Lover and all the across the pond members.

Everyone in my town always asks when the next cookout or big meal is being made. Most importantly, it something that bonds my son and I. Whenever we want some daddy/son time, it’s usually in the kitchen. I loved Ratzenbergers show too, great guy

Scott W very cool. I had to learn how to cook after living alone and getting hungry. I can never keep up with everything happening on cooking shows.

I can't follow directions to save my life, so what I get out of cooking shows are basic ideas. MD has already come by at 8:30, messing up my beauty sleep. He deemed me fit to live out the day. He brings a male nurse who is an absolute gas to be around. A First Gulf War Vet. I found out he was awarded a Purple Heart. Now is where I can't remember. He either can't wear it or doesn't get the actual medal until the operation he had it in is declassified. Captain Black Original in a DRG Kensington Carved Billiard. Sweet, Muddy Coffee on the side. Been buying fruits, veggies, bread, dairy from a place that sells organic foods and meats from local farms, in the Midwest. Those who grew up with Homogenized Milk (Whole Milk) from the grocers need to try the organic whole milk. It's a lot creamier and full of flavor. Not sure if you all are aware, but the big dairies have the right to put 13% water in their milk. All for the moment.

Started my new schedule today and actually saw the sun this morning! Hit a dead skunk on the way in and my bike still stinks ... hopefully it cooks off out there in the parking lot.

Well, I am getting ready to light up some 1936 Briggs Mixture. The smoke just might come your way and help out a little.

Pasteurized milk, while a near miracle of public health, is a slight disappointment every time. Here we've had a huge campaign over the last 30 years to get people to drink milk (in order to combat malnutrition) and one of the side effects has been discovering that most of the country is lactose intolerent. It is interesting though that you can find near 30 different varieties of milk in any supermarket including the foul organic, lactose-free, skim milk.

One is organic, Pasteurized and Homogenized. The other is just Pasteurized. On the first, you can def taste the whole milk, cream and all. On the latter, the cream actually rises to the top. Taste is way awesome, but at 4.50$/quart it's pricey. I won't sacrifice on milk, though. If we don't order these we don't order milk. Wish I knew more of your city. I have never been out of the 48

Nothing like a pint of milk to drink with a pipe. It's my go to. A quart here. That's where watch your P's and Q's came from. Bartenders would write down whether a customer drank a P or a Q, and suspicious customers would say, "Hey, watch your P's and Q's"

Horrible weather and I can’t get home because of the roads so I had to go to our lake house. No power here and no heat at the moment. Got a jar of peanut butter and a roll in the cupboard. Thankfully there is a bottle of scotch and a bottle of wine on the counter leftover. I have the following tobaccos: Velvet Carter Hall LBF RO Yule log Billy Budd Solani flake Dunhill Apertif
Gonna mix some and smoke like a maniac tonight, nothing else I can do

Beautiful day! I had to make a run down to Corpus Christi on an errand and I decided to celebrate Texas Independence day by stopping in Goliad. We visited the Presidio La Bahia and the monument over the remains of Col. Fannin and his men, 350 rebels who had surrendered, and were murdered under orders from General Santa Ana and burned. I thought it was a good day to pay my respects. Smoked a bowl of Classic Burley Kake in a Mr Brog bent billiard with a wind cap while standing on a gun emplacement at the fort.

My biggest mistake, when I was healthy, was driving through the panhandle of Texas and not taking a trip to The Alamo. Question, preceded by a comment: I didn't know until well into my thirties that Texas was its own country at one time. Would it be better, in your opinion, if it remained a country?

In the Panhandle, you are still 1 1/2 regular sized states from the Alamo. And no, at least for the first 150 years, and probably not even now.

When I regularly drank milk, I would occasionally get the Simple Truth Organic whole milk, and indeed have two gallons of that in the fridge currently. I drastically changed my diet and quit eating anything proceesed and dairy (mostly, i cheat sometimes) after following Jack Lalanne, Arnold Schwarzenegger and other health nuts espousing that cow and other mammalian milk is NOT for people and that drinking a warm beer is more nutritious for the human body than a glass of milk. Not trying to make you hop off milk, of course, but I cut carbs, sugars, and dairy almost entirely out. The whole milk organic is very tasty, and ill still maybe a couple times a month throw a splash in coffee or use it for my protein shake rather than water.
