Went to bed at 0040 this morning and rose at 0930. Woken several times with cold, blankets on floor. I thrash too much.
So, verr groggy this morning. Barely able to focus my eyes. This typing is difficult. Cold in the house as I let the fire go out in the stove so I can remove the accumulation of ashes. While the stove has a bottom grate and ash pan, I burn so much wood so fast that not many of the ashes can make it into the pan. So, I have to shovel them out with a small spade.

63° sunny and bright...44° tonight again...slept with the small heater on in the bedroom...small doggie stayed in the middle of the bed...small smile on her tiny mouth.

Truck will not start. Too cold overnight, I guess. The day is warming up nicely, should hit 50. I have a hot pad under the hood on top of the fuel bowl. Maybe later??? I really need to haul garbage to the dump and my bin is filled. Waiting, waiting, waiting.

Was up too early today so worked on a couple pipes in the garage. Had to run a couple service calls this morning (Cha Ching) all time and a half. Got home and battled the leaves some more and now am going to take a nap.

I have no excuse for my complete lack of movement other than that I just don't want to. Beautiful day too.

I have no excuse for my complete lack of movement other than that I just don't want to. Beautiful day too. I have to move. Developing phlebitis in my left leg and it is quite painful. I have to keep moving. Right knee is bad with occasional bone on bone contact. What can I say? Mostly, all worn out!

I'm with you on that, Ron...just too lazy to want to do anything, finished the roof yesterday (see other thread) so that was my "labor" for the week. Tosh, I know how bad that feels...I've got bone on bone in my back..most days are miserable and then some days are worse.

I overdid it a couple of days ago and I should be fully recovered by tomorrow. 69 isn't all it's cracked up to be. I was going to do wiring today, but I will get started on it early tomorrow. I will then need my wife or son to help me put the thin plywood on the ceiling. If I could put several full days of work together, I could finish all my projects in about 3 months. As it is, I will be happy to finish in a year. If my wife actually retires, maybe 6 months. I know that I have back issues. The doctors tell me that much. But I don't have any pain, except muscle pain if I overdo it. Just the burning in my feet that comes and goes.

Bed at 1230, up at 3. I pulled baby duty this morning so the wife could sleep. Lots to do today, cut the grass, clean out/wash the cars, load trash and go to the dump (for my dad too), put the swing set back together, and then jar up a ton of bulk tobacco and blend some new stuff. Wish me luck Enjoy the baby time. It gets away from you too fast. Luck, Josh. It most definitely does. Every age has it's good points, but you rarely hear anyone say "damn, I miss when they were 3." I'm soaking every minute of it up that I can. I got almost everything on my list done today. I'm saving the tobacco/blending for tonight and tomorrow since it's the most tedious of all of my weekend "to-do's." I hope you all have enjoyed your Saturday

My wife has the house filled with stuff from the garages and attics, etc. she’s going to have a garage sale tomorrow.
Me: is it going to rain Her: oh, I don’t know
Me: did you get labels to put prices on everything Her: no, I can get them
Me: banks are closed tomorrow, did you get cash in small bills for change Her: shite.....no
Me: I’ll be back..........
Went and dropped the kid off at a sleep over, grabbed labels and hit the ATM which only gives $20 and $10 bills so I spent almost an hour going to 8 different stores/bars to see who could give me smaller bills.
Got ‘em, now having a very big glass of wine.

37 in the swamp. My wife is still sleeping and it cold as I forgot to turn on the fireplace before bed. Things to be thankful for I have two full bottles of propane, three kinds of coffee, the fridge and pantry are over flowing, all my clothes are clean, all prescriptions are filled, hot water, electricity, Tv, internet. So it shaping up to be a great day.

Darned cats don't know about DST and got me up at their regular time. Going to drive an hour and a half to Greensboro, nc today to buy a set of speakers. Sold my last pair for $2500.00, paid money on bills, so I found another replacement set for $250.00 that sound just as good to me.

41 degrees this morning, fell back on time last night, now I get to hear wife say well it’s not really so and so time it’s really, AWW, it goes on and on, really could we just leave the damn time alone. Son sent me a video of Changeing of The Guard for The Unknown Soldier. Awesome and Sad. Drinking coffee, too cold for porch puffing.

I am sick and tired of the TV people complaining about the DST. We should do away with it and just get up earlier or later as the day commands. People are all over the news complaining because we're going back TO THE ACTUAL TIME AS SET BY THE SUN AND EARTH and so their kids will have to go to school in the dark! My word, why don't schools and businesses just adjust their starting hours instead of pretending that anyone has any control over time! OK, that's my rant for the day out of the way and everything is better now. 🤐🙄🤠

My wife doesn't want to hear Christmas music until the week before Christmas. We don't do Halloween, Valentines Day, Mothers Day or any other Hallmark events. Christmas, Easter, and the 4th of July.

Literally. It's Latin for "Christmas". You have no idea... 😒 Long before Thanksgiving even gets here, I'm long done with the commercial, yule tide Holiday. I kind of wish I could get into the spirit of it all, but I just can't anymore. Anyhow going to church with the missus today,(a Christian should celebrate the birth of Christ year-round, yes?)then I gotta go get some hay for the horse. Then a nap. Then supper. Than bed. That's my chronicle for the day.
