Food poisoning did me in yesterday...bed/toilet, etc. Back alive...almost. That is not fun. Hope for a speedy recovery. Last time I was poisoned was on a road trip about 25 years ago. We made it home and I stood in the door fram of the bathroom and hurled about 7 feet across the bathroom into the tub. My wife was impressed by the aim.

What denomination are you with? Presbyterian Since you are Presbyterian, I recommend reading the play "The Devil's Disciple" by your own George B. Shaw. You may have read it before and I commend the passage between Richard Dudgeon and General Burgoyne at the start of the Parson's trial.

Glad you're still with us, walt.
Day 1 started with a bang. I'm gonna be busy!
It's also blowing a gale up here. It's like the start of the wizard of oz.

Well its windy in the swamp as the ol north wind blows its way into town. 33 degrees out side that's zero to Paddy and we had the AC going yesterday because it was muggy. I suppose tomorrow everyone farther north will post how cold it is and the snow levels. This is the time of year us southern coast dwellers smile from ear to ear as folks north of the Mason Dixon line have to dig their way out of house. I like to call it Winter my word for seasonal climate change. The yuppies in Houston have all put on their snow ski racks. I don't understand this Tejas has no mountains and if God would have wanted Texicans to ski he would have built them a mountain. Someone up north needs to send me some old skies so I can be cool.

Not horrible here today, 28 with about an inch of snow but supposed to get into the low teens by tomorrow morning. We were setting record highs 6 weeks ago and now we're setting record lows. The joys of living in NE Ohio.
So much for a relaxing morning, just got called out for a walk in freezer thats down. They didn't like my humor when I said to set everything outside until I get there.

God and Sam Houston gave us half of New Mexico and Colorado, but the other states made us give them up to join the union. Call it "Union Dues".

Oh, shoot! That means they are likely heading here. Dang blast it! Too many of them cannot drive, nor read, apparently, since the Speed Limit signs seem to mean nothing to them. Or, they poke along at 10 MPH looking at something.

We're forcast to have highs around 80 and lows in the 60's here in the valley of the sun.

Just got home and am trying to thaw out. Spent the day changing a compressor in the snow. Got three more inches during the day after I took this pic.

There was a rumor that a snowflake was seen at the airport by my house last night, but it hasn't been verified. 🤯

No more hvac /refrigeration pictures as I'll be having nightmares tonight from my 25 years of Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration. I didn't like it, but it put food on the table.

I find the picture full of irony. Just turned on the big heater for the Fifth Wheel for the first time this year. The news man is predicting a hard freeze so die mosquitos die you basstards. I will have to unhook from city water before bedtime and drain the big filter system. A few years back I made that mistake and it was rather spendy replacing filter housings. The lizards have all retreated to the heated underbelly of the RV and all the critters have bedded down early. Animals are a far better source for weather conditions than the guy on the TV. Stay warm and toasty my friends.

Wife turned on the heat for the first time and the stink drove me outside. Problem with the combination heat/cool system is that dust builds up on the heating coils, then goes up in smoke with the first use of the heat. We use it less than 10 days a year on average.

18 degrees here and I feel like I’m coming down with something. Big cup of elderberry tea with a shot of bourbon and a shot of honey in it with a squeeze of orange

I hope it passes quickly Scott.
We're dipping below freezing tonight, I'm sure it'll be 80 again in a few days.

I had that problem in Los Angeles. We had chilly winters. Used to get down around 60 degrees! Seriously, we would drop into the high 40s for a few nights. Mostly 50s.

Being a Military brat we lived on the coast in California from San Deigo, El Toro and Point Magoo the winters were so rough we had to close the windows when it got dark in the winter months. I have purchased more than one jacket in San Francisco in July though.

Went to Lowe's today to get some lightweight patching compound for the foamboard that I am going to paint for my projection screen, and shipped off some tobacco I sold yesterday.
My shoulder is still hurting from the fall one week ago,and my wife thinks that I have tore my rotator cuff. We are going to give it another week to see if it gets any better. If not, then I will likely have to get a MRI.

25 Degs here this morning, got up at 4:30am to warm house up for Son who leaves at 5:30 for the hospital. Checked on Momma cat who was having a hard birthing, I had eased her in a server we had on back porch, in sink I had bundled a heavy blanket with several hand warmer, to no avail she passed away. Fed the cats, gave them double portions because of the cold. Then back inside for a hot cup of coffee. Now watching The Luney Tunes Impeachment Show on TV.

Marty we have an over abundance, about 12 cats, they are farm cats, we need them when we cut the cane, the mice run out the fields and they control them. I feed them well as they do a bang up job during harvest time.
