Next in my series of catch up posts for pipes from the past several months is my Christmas pipe from my mother-in-law. At least that's what I call it, she's learned to just give me money as a gift. I spent it winning this new (to me) pipe at a relatively low price.
Very lightly smoked Ligne Bretagne grade 4 Apple made in 2014
Ligne Bretagne is Trevor Talbert's economy line. Trevor obtained a stash of old unfinished, frazed French stummels. He finishes the stummels and hand cuts ebonite stems for them. Pipes are graded from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). Trevor also does a year stamp so you can tell what year the pipe was made.
This pipe has rather interesting grain. It's straight grain on one side of the bowl and tight birdseye on the other.
