While to 20 % off is what got me to place my order early that day and i was happy with items i paid for and while not really expecting much from the BONUS Gift pack that was given to the first 500 orders my bonus gift was back ordered and did not arrive with purchased items well i got my 3 Chinese corn cob pipes today  along with an open pouch of Drexel viii that was bone dry On a good note was the bundle of pipe cleaners and a pouch of John Bull tobacco a Drinking cup that will serve as a Pipe Cleaner Holder  |

I think that Drexel viii tobacco will smoke just fine in these Chinese Pipes  |

I got an Eaton with an ISPD logo on the shank. My Drexel was crisp too. It is Lane's fault as they don't seal the pouch. I liked Drexel when it came out, but seeing what a few months on the shelf does to it, I won't ever buy it again.
I am rehydrating mine now and once salvaged, I'll smoke it up. too bad STG was so cavalier in the packaging as it is a pretty decent flake.

I got the same goodie pack contents as Sloop JB. I’m not building a snowman anytime soon so the Chinese cobs went straight to the trash can. I can’t believe that STG does not even sticky seal the Drexel VIII pouches. Lane Ready Rubbed pouches get sticky sealed and put in a cellophane wrapper. I’ve heard good things about the Drexel VIII flake. Boy was I disappointed. I lit some up to see if it was worth jarring and hydrating a bit. Man, the stuff was horrid. I dumped the bowl in the first two minutes. It was like smoking hay from the floor of a used horse stall.

I feel like the odd man out, but I like drexel enough to have about a dozen pouches. My goodie bag had a sealed cellophane around the pouch, the other 11 do not. I found that the bottom of the bowl in this stuff is better than the start, and that is probably is because the bottom of the bowl is hydrated by the tobacco burning above it.

Drexel is pretty good stuff. I have tried two of them, not VIII though

I have some jarred too. It has received favorable reviews elsewhere. Makes a better impression when smoked fresh.

yeah, the cobs were lame. was happy to see the Bull. the cup is nice. i am glad to get another book -- i'll be taking this copy to the B&M to share.

They really cut a wet fart this year.....
As for the Chinese cobs, I know that I posted this before, but for the sake of those that have't seen it....reason to buy an American made cob.

Those cobs might be useful for next year's snowman, but I would not smoke one.

I got a good cob and more surprisingly (given my location) 2 pouches. The Drexel, but not John Bull, getting 1-M (never seen 1-M in a pouch) instead. Oh, and a very modest tamper.

I got the three cobs, a Drexel, a John Bull, the cup, the cozie and the book. Hey it is all free so I ain''t complaining. I'll give away the tobacco, throw out the cobs, use the cup and cozi and put the book in the bathroom.

P&C Did offer to settle up on the defective cob with hole in it
said they would send another grab bag corn cob pipe which i suspect would be another CHINA Cob
